I let out a disbelieving scoff, shaking my head. And people said I was the dramatic one. Clearly, they had never spent five minutes with my mother. Turning away before she could drop another outrageous comment, my gaze drifted toward the television mounted high on the wall. The screen was muted, but the image displayed made my eyes narrow instantly. “Turn it up,” I hissed at no one in particular. Mum followed my gaze to the screen, her brows furrowing.
