Caleb dated Bella and nearly married her?
I still can’t wrap my head around it.
I don’t believe in coincidences, not even the tiniest kind. Things don’t just happen for no reason.
So, Caleb being involved with Bella? That can’t be random. There’s a good chance he knew exactly what he was doing from the very beginning. Maybe he found out about the shares she holds. Or maybe… he’s after something else entirely.
Bella said he cheated. Those were her words, not mine. It says a lot. A man who cheats doesn’t love you. Not really. And if he never loved her, then what was the real reason he got into a relationship with her in the first place?
Clearly, he had an agenda.
Just as that thought circled my mind, I heard a voice behind me.
