“I can now understand why Raphael left you.” Luro spoke in an accusing tone once we were alone with the Lycan King. She held my hand; her piercing glance fixed on Norton. “You could have easily avoided the council trial if you accepted me as your daughter. None of the council members would dare to mess with the Lycan King’s daughter’s mate.” She snorted and shook her head, “But, you didn’t. I am sure your reputation must be more important than my happiness.”
With those words, Luro stormed out of the hall leaving behind a dumbfounded Norton. He looked completely shaken by her words. My helpless gaze lingered on him for a moment before I rushed after Luro. I caught up with her in the corridior and grabbed her arm., forcing her to stop.
