I waited with restless anticipation for Cedric to return. It had already been a couple of hours since that monster had summoned him. Was he being interrogated or maybe he was being punished like... No, I couldn't let my thoughts go in that direction. If I did, I would probably die of anxiousness.
A deep frown had settled on my forehead due to worry. I drew in a deep breath and closed my eyes, "Moon Goddess, please keep him safe."
My ears perked up suddenly as the soft thudding of footsteps sounded at a distance. I craned my next hoping to catch a glimpse of Cedric, but I was disappointed.
