Luro’s POV The night had deepened engulfing everything in its dark embrace. Emmanuel, Issac and their mates had retired to their respective tents. Ezekicel had offered to let me sleep in his tent but I didn’t feel comfortable. My gaze shifted to the man dozing against the tree. He had insisted on sleeping outside despite my refusal. It is not that I didn’t want to sleep in the tent. It was just that I couldn’t sleep at all. The queasy sensation that had formed in the pit of my stomach intensified with the passage of time.
