CHAPTER THIRTEEN “Another murder?” Carly asked as she and Lyle hurried out of the Cannon House Office Building toward their SUV. “Yep,” Lyle replied tersely. “That call was Detective Brown.” “And it’s the same?” Carly asked. “So it would seem,” Lyle said. “The girl’s body was found with a Shakespeare sonnet in her hand. This time at Cheswick College in Foggy Bottom.” Carly stifled a sigh of despair. She wished she was more surprised. She remembered the vision she’d had at the morgue of several pages falling out of a book and fluttering away. She’d had the strong feeling then that more sonnets would be found, which meant more deaths. A lot of good those feelings are doing me, she thought.
