Lancelot replied her as he sat up on the bed: "Oh!...thank God you know that I don't love you Celine. You want to know the truth, I married you because my father recommended you. He gave me the condition that unless I marry you, his co-Reverend's daughter, He won't give me his shopping complex at Wales as an inheritance and we both know that complex is worth millions. It's huge! I didn't want to lose it"

"Lancelot..." Celine said shocked as tears dropped effortlessly on her face.

"Stop getting high expectations Celine. You can't expect love in this marriage. Just let us continue living in pretense of a couple in love. But trying to think I will treat you with love, make love to you with love, come off it. You are not even my type of woman. I love them slim.. And the worst of all, you can't have children"

Celine started to cry and she felt like her hopes for a happy home is dashed. She felt her life crumbling before her eyes.

"Lancelot, how can you say these things to me?" She started crying profusely. He called her barren when he is the one not going for the test they were advised to do and just then Celine opened her bag and brought out an envelope

"I can't have kids right? I am the one something is wrong with? Well, just so you know. I went for my own part of the test last week and I am reproductively fine" she dropped the envelope and dashed out to the living room, still crying holding the pillow and blankets.

Lancelot picked the envelope and read the contents. He gave an unsatisfied expression, squeezed it and threw it in the bin

"What's she blabbing about? Who knows if that is forged?"

Lancelot's hurtful words to Celine and how he diminished her hope for a positive change in her marriage affected her daily activities for about a week and the most painful thing is he did not apologize. He hasn't been physically violent with her since she came back but he has been frustrating her emotionally. He goes to work and comes back without speaking to her except he wants to demand for his food and when Celine wants to start a conversation, he yells at her and walks out of her sight. Just three days ago, she caught him in their bed with Diana. Celine was furious and she cried but Lancelot could care less. After Celine caught them, he simply told Diana to leave the room and go to the sitting room. He expressed no soberness or remorse.

Celine got to the school she teaches and she received a sad news. The Principal handed her suspension letter over to her

"I am sorry Mrs Roberts. But you are on an indefinite suspension. We can't keep putting up with somethings regarding you"

"I teach my pupils well ma"am. Why this?"

" For about two months now, according to the reports from some of your pupils, it seems your attention is always divided in class, they said you would teach them something and the next minute, you divert to another topic they don't understand entirely. Their assignments, sometimes you mark it wrongly and they would be the one to point the mistake later in class and as much as I remember, you are an intelligent teacher Mrs Roberts, you were recommended here on Merit. So why would you mark wrongly?"

Celine sighed in frustration. "Mrs George. I understand. But I am sorry. I have been facing some private issues at home and....

"I guessed as much and that is also making you skip classes. I checked the staff attendance roll and for the past two weeks, you have missed five classes. I know you called in sick but that's not even the only issue. You also come late to class!"

"Ma"am . I know. I apologize. It's not my fault. Just that I have to tend to my husband's needs sometimes. Just give me one more chance. Please"

"Mrs Roberts, I wish I could. But the board already decided and concluded this morning. Besides if you are facing any issues at home, I suggest you find time to deal with it before it affects your mental health. You need time to fix yourself. Remember you deal with pupils. You need concentration. I just feel that's the best option for now"

Celine folded the later. Her eyes became teary. "Okay. Goodbye principal"she stood up.

"Have a nice day" The principal said after her. How would she have a nice day with this? Celine knows how the school administration does her things. Unless they give a definite period for suspension, an indefinite suspension doesn't end well with staffs in school. Most of the times, they don't call them back. She knows she had to say a goodbye to her Job. Things became tiring for her as she walked home. To think she was just planning to get herself another car after her previous car got spoilt which was spoiled by Lancelot.

She does not have a happy home, now her job which is a consolation for her and makes her happy is gone and her husband is to blame. His maltreatment towards her makes her distabilized when she gets to work. He also makes inconsiderate demands in the morning and that's what makes her late. She became displeased, and furious. What's the point that she is married and she has remained unhappy. She wiped her tears with some tissue as she tried to catch a bus home.

However, when Celine got home, she met a scene that totally made her angrier and disgusted. Right there in the sitting room, Lancelot is having s*x with another lady, it was a form of group s*x as two of his friends were also having s*x with each lady. She folded her fists in anger and confronted Lancelot

"What the hell is going on here?!" She yelled putting off the music

Lancelot was quite shocked. He did not expect her home by this time. He separated from the lady and started putting on his boxers.

"What does it look like huh?! By the way why are you back so early?"

"Thanks to you I have been suspended from work. Lancelot how shameless can you be? What kind of a Terrible husband are you? Why are you bringing me so much...so much sadness! When you knew you did not love me, why not leave that inheritance alone and not marry me. Why did you agree to do this and later put me in pains. You irresponsible man!" Celine yelled. Lancelot opened his mouth in shock and he became angry. She has never talked to him like that. He moves closer to her and landed a slap on his face but to his dismay, Celine returned the slap back to his face

"How dare you slut of a man! Don't you ever raise your filthy hands at me again!" She uttered and walked into the room. Lancelot watched her leave his hands still on his cheek. He was caught unawares. He never imagined a day would come when Celine

would hit him
