Shopping was easy

Genevieve’s POV

"Ooooh try this on it’ll go great with your eyes and hair ”Avery says holding up a short green silk dress with tiny crisscrossing straps in the back.

“My natural eyes or these damn contacts, because I honestly don’t want to wear them when we go to New York. ” I say grabbing the dress and holding it to my body. Avery, Julianna and I went shopping for some extra stuff for our trip. It’s suppose to be a girls trip plus Carter.

“ Definitely don’t wear the contacts give the people of New York something to look at. Your literally stunning and your eyes just make you even more of a rare gem”Julianna says giving me a push to the dressing rooms. I give a little giggle and start moving along . We try on so much stuff and go to so many different stores I’m ready to drop.

We had finally just finished at Victoria secret and had sat down in the food court to eat something. “All I can say is that the visions have been coming more and more lately but I don’t think they are necessarily bad”. Avery says after swallowing a bite of her orange chicken and fried rice. Chinese food was a must with us girls if we wanted to fuel up on takeout food.

I look at her with confusion because this is the first I’m hearing of any visions. Avery is usually pretty upfront when it comes to these moments. “What do you mean Avy, what else have you seen. ” Julianna ask stiffening and scanning the crowd. I notice two tables away a group of human males pushing at each other’s arms and staring at us. I can hear them calling each other out to ask us out. I smile inwardly they are cute for humans but not what any of us are looking for.

I know Avery wants her mate just as much as Julianna wants her beloved. I on the other hand want my mate but just feel like I need a little more than what the average mate situation is offering. “Well my visions aren’t bad at all I see two beautiful black wolves with gold marks on the heads one with the shape of a lightning bolt and one with sun symbol. The weird part is there is a white wolf that I see often trying to get to them but she can’t reach them I never see the front of her I just know she has a black and red streak in her tail.”

Avery says keeping her voice low even though the chatter of the humans around us practically drown us out. “I at first thought it was Gaia but you don’t have red in your tail. My wolf tells me that I must help the white wolf but everytime I try to something goes wrong. Once the wolf was chained in a cell made of gold and she had silver clamps around her paws. I don’t know what it all means but I know I need to help her.” Avery continues.

Whoever this wolf is will have me to help to I think to my self. No wolf should ever be chained up the way Avery explains. Plus with it being a gold cell something tell me it’s not just a wolf but a Lycan. They are rare stronger wolves. Most Lycans posses powers like healing and air manipulation basically cloaking themselves . Lycans are spread out and very rare to come across. Lycans tend to stay hidden since the war of supernaturals nearly 1021 years ago.

A wolf by the name of Alastair Black didn’t like that the moon goddess Selene made the lycans more powerful so he spread hate and lies and the Lycans were hunted and slaughtered.Thousands of Lycans soon became hundreds and kept dwindling as the years went by. Gaia had told me before I shifted for the first time that we were difffernt but didn’t go into detail. I remember that was a weird time for all of us when I shifted at 16.

[FLASHBACK 4 years ago june 21 2018 ]

“Happy birthday lil bit”. Carter says giving me a crushing hug. I don’t really like physical touch unless it my family. Carter ruffles my hair and gives me that look of Are you sure you’re okay for what seems like the hundredth time today. He’s only worried so much because two nights ago Avery and I both woke up screaming from a nightmare about Alpha Hendrix hurting us again.

In the first few months I would wake up in cold sweats panting heavily because the Alpha would be in my dreams trying to hurt me all over again. But it was getting better I don’t know what triggered me two days Ago. Well that’s a lie Ember told me it was because I could feel Avery’s distress so I went in to her dream to help her only I failed. I could dream project and step in to dreams ,astral projecting,the first time I did it was two nights ago and it was terrifying.

I looked at Carter and gave him a big smile so he’d know that I’m fine. “Gaia says something special will happen tonight when I shift. I tell Carter as I go to take a seat next to Avery on the log outside the cabin. We are in the Michigan woods in a cabin that some old wolf that Ms Simmons knew let us use till we needed to leave again. We only been here bout 4 months. We where constantly moving state to state so Our old Alpha wouldn’t find us.

Luckily with this move we where taken in by the pack alpha . Alpha Johnson said that he would protect us as long as we didn’t do anything to harm his pack members. “I mean I’m kinda scared like what if my wolf looks all crazy “. ( Gaia ) EXCUSE ME I WILL BE MAJESTIC AND AMAZING JUST AS THE EARTHLY GODDESS HERSELF . THAT IS THE REASON FOR MY NAME . Gaia growls out in my head. I give her a little eye roll she hates it when I doubt my self or her . She believes that we are meant to be something amazing.

Actually she says that we will be something amazing but she just can’t say anything until the time is right. I giggle at her huffing around in my head Ember and Azaria give a little giggle as we watch Gaia huff around . I have no idea what color Gaia is because in my mind she is grey but it doesn’t look right. “Whatever your wolf looks like I know she will be amazing just like you sweet heart ”. Ms. Simmons says coming out of the house with a blanket that she wrapped around Avery’s shoulders.

Dropping a kiss to my head Ms. Simmons smiles at me nodding her head. It’s her way of signaling me that it’s almost time. I feel my Palms get sweaty from nerves but try not to show it . “Vie calm down your wolf will guide you. Trust Gaia to take care of you she will not steer you wrong. I know I’m not a wolf and all so I don’t know how much comfort I’m gonna bring by being here but I did conceal us within a locked wall so no one can see in but we can see out. ”Julianna says coming out of the tree lines she’s barefoot wearing a pretty yellow sundress.

She sends a wave of calmness to me as she sits down on the opposite side of Avery . You’re family Julianna, wolf or not Gaia needs to be surrounded by Family.” Avery whispers out leaning her head on Julianna’s shoulder. It’s rare to hear Avery talk nowadays but she is slowly coming back to us piece by piece . Suddenly my body goes really tight like something is trying to claw its way out of me.

(Gaia) : it’s time my little human. Gaia says to me and mind links the others to surround me in a circle. They do as she says and shift. Even Avery does and that surprises me I haven’t seen her shift since we escaped. She is a beautiful blond wolf (Eulalia) which is very rare. Her wolves eyes are like twin turquoise gems. Ms. Simmons transformed next to and average sized grey wolf with startling green eyes(wolf name Nala).

Carter goes last shifting into his larger Dark grey wolf Orion. I drop to the dirt on my knees. Orion immediately goes to his belly scooting forward so as to not startle gaia to much as she tries to come forward. Orion lays his head onto my lap as another cramp jolts my body back. Sweat riddles my forehead, I start shaking and convulsing , I’m panicking I can’t do this I think

(Azaria): You must calm down little one, Gaia will not hurt you.

(Ember) Trust in Gaia little light. Take a deep breath and just let her take control. we will shoulder the pain little light, let go .

Vie: I can’t do this I can’t it hurt to much . It didn’t hurt like this with you zari. I don’t want to do this. I moan into my head my physical body on my hands and knees convulsing and shaking. My back arching up into the sky.

Gaia): please my little human you must let me take over or you can hurt your self, it is time. I promise you this needs to happen.

I grunt and shriek out letting my head fall breathing in one last time and letting my body and mind relax . I completely give my mind a break allowing for Gaia to take over and complete our shift. “Sweet pea I can’t shift into a wolf but I can help you with pain. Relax your mind.” Julianna says sending another wave a calm to me the slight pain I was feeling instantly disappearing.

That’s the last thing I hear say as I begin to fall into a black tunnel. I don’t even scream because I don’t feel like I’m in danger. My body gently floats to a beautiful green grassland, stunning flowers and butterflies. It was glorious. I felt the warm rays of the sun wash over my body and just relaxed.

Gaia’s pov

“Thank you witch for all of that. I can feel my little human is safe.”I say looking over at the one called Julianna through my humans eyes. Genevieve was fighting the change but our goddess entended for us to be more than just a strong wolf. We are to be a Lycan. Not just any lycan but one of royal stature. I feel our shared body beginning to heat up and know it is my time to fully come forward. My bones begin to crack and form in to that of a wolves skeleton. My nose elongating into my snout ears peeling back , hands and feet becoming massive white paws.

A blinding white light hits and I look down at my paws and wiggle them. It feels good to finally be free to shift . I arch my back and let out a massive howl. Eulalia, Orion, and Nala are standing before me with there heads bowed. Julianna has taken a knee and looks at me in complete aww.

“Your stunning princess just like I always knew you’d always be.”Orion states bring his head up and coming closer to me to nuzzle my head in a familial way. Eulalia and Nala following behind to do the same. Julianna is sat crossed legged on the side of me rubbing my furry side as she mumbles about how beautiful I look. “Our goddess says we are to be your guards and guides . We promise to protect you princess. Lay down our lives so you shall one day be in your rightful place.” The four of them say simultaneously theirs eyes white like the goddess is speaking through them almost. When the bow I bow back signaling that I agree to the terms. They snap back and it almost seems like they don’t know what just happened. I continue on and nuzzle Orions head

“Orion what do I look like, may I see through your eyes.”I ask. He gives a nod of his head and I take a look through his eyes. I am glorious not to be conceited or anything. I stand taller than Orion a pure white wolf with a golden crescent moon right between my eyes. It’s the mark of the moon goddess. My fur is pure white nearly iridescent and seems to have all the colors of the rainbow shinning with in it . My eyes are the same as my humans but with a milky white center and the color of my green and amethyst surround the whites . My tail has a streak of black running down the side. I go back into my own mind and try to wake my little human. She is laying in Ember’s arms nestled like a child. Azaria sits next to them her hand running through Genevieve hair.

“Wake up little light , it’s time for you to see your wolf.”Ember said gently shaking her awake. Once she finally is fully alert she looks around confused before her eyes finally fall onto me. She wiggles in Embers arms and walks to me. I’ve projected my self into the vision in my lycan form. She slowly reaches a hand out to touch my furry head. I bow to her so she knows to not be afraid. When her cool hand touches my forehead it’s like a a snap of a magnets. We connect instantly.

“I really hope you like the way the moon goddess has made us , we are not just a wolf but a pure lycan .we have many different powers but we will learn them together as we go.” I say to Genevieve as she holds on to my neck.

“You are stunning Gaia, you’re absolutely beautiful and the little gold crescent moon is darling.” Genevieve says laying a kiss right on the mark she speaks of. “ Well let us merge now sweet while we go for a run.you’ll see through my eyes and feel everything I feel.” I tell her as I back up and begin to disappear from the astral plain. Once I’m back I let out a howl to signal it times to run . I take lead as Carter takes my right and Avery my left. We set off into the fading sun.

Genevieve’s pov

Gaia and the others run for what seems like hours. Splashing and playing around in the surrounding forest . I let off small laughs as I watch Eulalia, Avery’s wolf, let out yip when Orion,carters wolf nips at her leg to get her moving back to the cabin. I can practically feel how tired Gaia is the way she is panting and ready to rest says it all. Gaia explained that we are not regular wolves but a lycan. That means we need to protect our selves. We are powerful and can be used by many to hurt others. I asked her what about Mates since now she is here will we be able to find them. She tells me that will come in due time.

Well I hope so I send a prayer up to the moon goddess to guide us and help us stay safe. We make it back to the cabin and I shift back in to human form relatively fast. To make things stranger it doesn’t take me long to shift back and I am fully clothed. “What the heck Gaia why aren’t I naked like the rest and when did we put this on.” I say staring down at the white sundress with daisies on it. Gaia let’s out groan she must be so tired.

Ember interjects and tells me its because I didn’t want to be naked so I just made clothes appear another one of my gifts I guess. I just brush it of and leave Gaia to rest. Ms. Simmons hands out clothes to Avery and Carter.Once finished she pulls me into a hug and tells me how wonderful my lycan is. We talk for about an extra hour on how I need to stay hidden and protect my self. Carter says how he’ll train me and Avery says that she will join she is tired of feeling defenseless.

After talking about training schedules and shifting wolves I start to nod off. The last thing I remembered was Carter scooping me up and Julianna saying how she needs to put up more wards on me to keep me hidden and protected.

I’m pulled outta my flashback when I hear Julianna saying that we aren’t intrested in dating . I look over and sure enough the human males are at our table hitting on us. The one with brown eyes is staring at me like I’m his next meal. “Come on three beautiful women like yourselves need men in your lives.” The brown haired one says next to his friends. They give a snort like that was just genius. “I mean ladies we three could take you three out and show y’all a really good time if ya know what I mean .” The blonde, possibly like 5’8 dude next to him says.

Brown eyes is still staring at me. “No thank you I think we are better off together than with you boys, sorry we just aren’t interested.” Avery says throwing her arm around Julianna’s shoulder and giving the boys a sickly sweet smile. They squint at us and that’s when brown eyes finally makes his move. He puts his hand onto my shoulder and leans down at me “how bout you cutie they don’t speak for you now do they .” He says pushing my hair back behind my ear.

I give a shiver of pure disgust his breath smells of garlic and he smells of sweat and desperation. I can’t believe I initially thought this boy was cute. Gaia growls in my head for the human to get his hands of me before she comes out and bites his arm off. I give a little giggle which I think he mistook as me liking his flirting. “DONT f*****g TOUCH HER AGAIN.” I hear Carter growl behind me, he walks in between the guy and me taking a seat next to me. When did he even get here. “What’s it to you I’m just trying to ask a beautiful woman out on a date.”

Brown eyes says crossing his arms and trying to flex his below average human muscles. I hear Julianna snort out a laugh. These humans don’t stand a chance against Carter, a full grown wolf. He’d kill them in two seconds without a sweat. “This beautiful woman happens to be MINE, and the two over there are also with me.” Carter says standing back up absolutely towering over these males. I put my head down and smile because I’m am so not Carters type wrong parts wrong style all around.

Cater is 6’3 and built pretty nicely. His sandy blond hair makes him seem boyish but he is all man when it comes to us.Brown eyes takes a step forward as if to argue back. “Kyle just leave it alone, man they ain’t interested we tried.” Blondie murmurs to get his friend moving before he gets pulverized. “ I think you should listen to your friend Kyle, my boyfriend doesn’t really like people hitting on me or my sisters.” I finally interject so Carter doesn’t go all ballistic and kills these human idiots.

I wrap my arm around Carters arm and turn him to me. His wolf is on the surface his eyes flashing black signaling he’s pissed and ready to shift. The guys finally take the hint and move off giving glances back at Carter. I pull Carter to sit down. “We had it under control Carter we wouldn’t let anything happen to Vie. Avery says pouting.

“ I know you can handle it but they’ve been following you around since you left the third store and when they went to the restroom I followed what they said pissed me off. I don’t like when boys talk about you three like that it makes my wolf and me angry. Genevieve is the youngest but you and Julianna are my sister too. I protect all three of you. I failed y’all once I won’t let it happen again.” Carter says taking Avery’s and Julianna’s hands into his.

Avery looks taken back and Julianna looks disgusted most likely imagining what they said. “Aww your gonna make me cry big brother, always knew you loved me.” Julianna says giving Carter a pat to the hands and breaking up the tension a little. We sit there and continue to eat and talk. Not even ten minutes later three cops walk by the food court with the boys from earlier in cuffs. Julianna has a smile on her face. “Haha they had it coming.” I don’t know what she did but it’s a little funny.

Carter let’s out a gruff laugh as he get up and scoops up majority of our bags. “ I thought Shopping was easy but with y’all there’s always something else. Now help me find something to wear I need new threads.” And like that we move on and continue on our day. Unbeknownst to us someone is watching us.
