Walking out from his dad’s office and down to the first floor of the packhouse, he saw someone unexpectedly standing by his car.
“Uncle Blitz? You’re early. Is there something important you want to talk to my father about?” Uncle Blitz Gray was the mate of Mary Anderson, the she-wolf who took care of him when he was young.
“No, Mary’s been worried about you and sent me to check on you. You know her. That woman would keep nagging if she doesn’t get what she wants. So how was your investigation? Did you find anything?”
Hugo couldn’t help but crack a smile, the huge stone weighing his heart lifted a bit when thinking of the kind hearted lady. “Thanks, Uncle Blitz. I’ll visit her later in the day. We didn't find much but did see a basement down under the castle. Those sons of bitches are doing werewolf experiments.”
“That’s outrageous! We must do something. What did your father say about it?”

He then walked to his own room and fetched a large piece of cloth to cover the young man’s scarred body. He also had a quick bath to wash and clean the bloodstain and got changed to something comfortable. The blood was making him feel uncomfortable. It kept reminding him of the past.
After he’d done this, there came a commotion from the opening before the packhouse. When he got there, the young man was already moved out of his car and placed on a stretcher on the ground. A middle aged woman was kneeling by the side, crying her heart out. Beside her stood a man of 6’2 with sorrow and fury buried down. His father, and a few other pack members were also there.
They came quite quick, Hugo thought. “Father,” Hugo called as he walked to the crowd.
Hearing his voice, the man first looked at him then behind him before turning to his father. Not until then did Hugo notice the Ryder was walking behind him the whole time.
“Yes, he and Alpha Ryder brought him back and was there when your son…”
Alpha Duke didn’t get the time to finish his sentence because the middle-aged man rush to Hugo and
