Road To Greenwood & Shadows In Greenwood

313 Words
The Road to Greenwood The journey to Greenwood was long and arduous, taking them through dense forests and treacherous terrain. Along the way, they encountered signs of the same malevolent presence they had defeated in Eldridge. Trees were twisted unnaturally, and the air was thick with an oppressive energy. As they approached Greenwood, the trio felt a growing sense of unease. The village was eerily quiet, its streets deserted. They were met by a small group of villagers, including the village elder, a woman named Gertrude. "Thank you for coming," Gertrude said, her voice strained with worry. "Our village has been plagued by strange happenings—crops failing, livestock disappearing, and a darkness spreading from the forest. We fear it may be connected to the same ancient power you faced." Elara nodded, her resolve strengthening. "We will do everything we can to help. Show us where it began: Shadows in Greenwood Gertrude led them to the edge of the forest, where the signs of corruption were most evident. Trees were blackened and lifeless, and the ground was covered in a dark, creeping mold. The trio could feel the same malevolent energy they had encountered in Eldridge. "We'll need to investigate the source," Alaric said, his grip tightening on his sword. Finn nodded, his eyes scanning the forest. "Let's start with the forest. If this is anything like Eldridge, the answer will lie within." As they ventured deeper into the forest, the air grew colder and the shadows lengthened. They followed the trail of corruption, guided by the faint glow of the Warden's amulet. Eventually, they arrived at a clearing similar to the one they had encountered in Eldridge. In the center stood another ancient tree, its bark twisted and dark. Elara approached the tree cautiously, her hand resting on the amulet. "This tree is tainted with dark magic. We need to purify it."
