Marissa Dinner at the lodge was about as appetizing as chewing cardboard. A sad heap of overcooked vegetables and rice clumped together on my plate, untouched. At least the beef had a hint of flavor. I prodded it with my fork, knowing I should probably eat something. If I didn’t, I’d wake up starving in the middle of the night, and the last thing I wanted was another restless night, courtesy of bad food. Still, it was hard to think about anything but the argument between Justin and his sister. The scene had been playing on repeat in my mind all day.
