Antithetic's Tale

Chapter 15

"Take it slowly." Ion reminded as I entered the house. I'm not a kid.

"I know." My answer. My hand is tied, my shoulder, arm and side are stitched. I look weak because of how I look now.

     Dire I went straight inside because I still had to go somewhere. It's Saturday so I don't have a class.

     I went into my room to put on my contact lens. I also immediately came out when I could wear it. I don’t know where that Dwight’s house is but I know where the forest we fought.

"Oh? Where are you going? Rest, Athena." Ion said seriously to me. I ignored him and went straight out of the house.

     The forest was familiar to me but I did not know how it would go. So when I met someone, I immediately approached him even though I was disgusted with people.

"Where is the forest here?" I said. His forehead furrowed. It looks like I ran away from the hospital. I hate myself.

"Ah eh, next to Caltex, all I know is that there is a forest there. Caltex seems to be far away but the road to it is just straight. You just need a jeep." He says. Why do creatures in this world talk so long?

     I just passed him because I had nothing more to say to him. I just decided to walk because I didn't have any money to pay.

        I was walking for half an hour when I saw a large object with 'CALTEX' written on it. I ran there. I'm not tired yet.

         When I got to that gas station, I looked around. In front of it is a road. On the left is a mini stop. On the right there is a seller of plants. I looked back and saw a clump of trees. This is probably the forest that the man I talked to earlier said.

     Dire I went straight into the war. I think this is the right time. I badly need his help and I want it as soon as possible.

     I turned because I just wanted to. I don't know, it's up to me where I land.

     I am aware that all forests are scary, but this forest, it is very creepy. Not that I'm scared but I find this forest weird. And it's a little bit familiar. I think I've already saw this.

     I looked at the sky the clouds are dark. It's raining maybe.

      Not far away, I saw a house. A black house actually. It is really familiar. Where did I see this?

      Nevermind, I need to focus more on finding that Dwight.

      I smiled when I saw myself in the place where I got these wounds. I looked at the tree behind me. There are still traces of blood here even a few days ago. The holes in the tree are also noteworthy. Dwight's ice may have melted.

"What are you doing here, weakling?" I heard a very familiar cold voice behind me. I was right, this is where I found him.

"I need you." I told him. I sound so helpless but I really need him. I need his help so that I could kill him.

"Woah." He only said once down the top of the tree.

"I didn't know that you'll be needing me this soon, weakling." I just stared at him because I had nothing more to say to him.

"You're really fortitude but you're physically weak." He added. Yes I am mentally and emotionally strong but I admit that after our fight, I am really a nobody.

"Cut off." I said. He says too much.

     He approached me.

"Right now?" Ika niya.

"No" I answered. I pulled a gun out of my pocket and aimed it at him.

"Right now." At the same time I pulled on the trigger of the gun.

"Are you nuts?" Bored he said to me. Just like what I've expected, it won't touch him.

"No, just trying." I said once I threw the gun I got under my bed. I didn't know why there was such a thing under it and I don't effin 'care.

"I'll tell you 5 things." He said then he turned to me.

     When he was in front of me, he approached me. I did not move because I had no idea what he was going to do. But when I noticed that our noses were touching, I backed away. He still came closer to me.

      I stopped to feel the tree behind me. I'm stuck.

      He brought his face closer. What the hell is he doing ?!

      I closed my eyes because I was overwhelmed.

"Acckk" I moaned when he suddenly punched me in the stomach. I got caught up in it.

"First, focus." He said and walked away from me slightly.

"Focus on your fight, always remember what is happening. Do not set your mind on the thing that has nothing to do with the battle." He says. The heck with him. Right, he diverted my mind.

He's really good.

"Second, look around you." Immediately after he said that, something hit my hand with ice. s**t!

"Don't focus your mind on your opponent itself. Focus on the fight. Meaning, everything around you might kill you." He says. I really need him.

      I heard the rustling of the branches of the trees. So I immediately left my seat.

      Suddenly a tree fell where I had been before.

"Good. Third, know all the presence around you." He says. I became even more observant because of what he did earlier.

"But don't forget your opponent. You should do a multi-tasking." He said so I looked at him.

"Fourth, know your opponent's weakness through his or her eyes. That's my technique." He says. Now he's telling me his own techniques. Isn't he aware of my plan?

"Now look at me. Look at my eyes." I followed him because I could do nothing but do that.

     He looks so bored.

"Now, what is my weakness?" He asked. How can I know what his weakness is. Is he insane?

"How?" I will ask. I think it is important, very important, to know your opponent's weakness through their eyes.

"It's for you to find out." He says. Okay. I should learn that later after this.

"Last, remember your goal. Think only about yourself and the reason of the fight." He says. Ofcourse I'll do that.

"I know that you are confused. I know that you'll use this against me. I just don't deserve having a weak opponent so I'm helping you." He teased. His arrogance really.

"Wait for your death." I said. He's getting on my freakin 'nerves!

"I'll wait for yours before mine." He said to me with a smile.

      Suddenly heavy rain fell.

"The rain is on my side, poor Athena." He says. I didn't get that right away but. s**t! He can turn the rain into ice and I'm sure that if I don't stop him, my wounds will increase again!

"Should I end this now? This early?" He still teases. What can I do to beat this ice?

"I just want to kill you." I told him. He smiled.

"You want, but you can't and you'll never." He proudly told me. I swear, I'll kill him.

     I floated a chunk of boulder. I'll use this as my shield.

      I floated it above me with my right hand. I used my left hand to get a sharp ice made by Dwight.

"Do you really think that my own creation can hurt me? Are you still using your brain?" He asked seriously. f**k! How can I fight him ?!

     I immediately let go of the sharp ice I was holding and floated the two contact lenses in my eyes.

"When will you discover the real you?" Shaking he said. The 'real me'? What does he mean?

"You're too powerful based on the book but look at you, weakling." He says. I looked at a tree to float it but suddenly a block of ice fell on my foot.

"s**t!" I moaned as I removed my foot.

"I told you, focus on your opponent. You can float that even if you don't look." He told me. Yeah, right.

     How can I do a freakin 'multi-tasking when I am facing my death ?! How can I do that ?!

"Will you just help me discover things up ?! Why are we fighting ?!" I shouted angrily while holding my foot.

"Why? Are we gonna play detective on your battle day? I am training you to be a better soldier not to be a detective to discover things." He says. We still have a lot of time to fight. I need to know myself first. How can I know my opponent's weakness if I don't even know mine?

"And besides, it is your responsibility to know yourself. I just want to know your past." He said.

"Cut it off, let us continue it." I said once a tree was thrown at him.

     Even before that hit him, he avoided it immediately. How did he avoid such a quick attack ?!

"Ack," I said softly as someone stabbed me in the foot. I looked at it and saw some sharp and small ice.

"Look around you, but leave an eye on your opponent." He reminded me so he looked at me. Does he make me shudder?

     I closed my eyes and when I woke up, a light came out of my eyes.

"Be sensitive." My eyes widened when I could not see him in front of me and I was surprised when he whispered to me from behind me. Why did he do that?

      He came in front of me again and stared at me.

"What do you think is my weakness?" He asked me. What is it? s**t! I could not see anything in his eyes if not nothing.

"Think, Athena, think." He said while still staring at me.

      After 20 seconds, I still didn't say anything, the rain got even heavier.

"Fire." Suddenly he said. I frowned.

"That is my weakness." I was surprised again. Why is he telling me this?

"Why are you telling this to me?" I asked him in surprise. He is not reasonable. I should be glad that I already know his weakness but amazement prevails over me. Why does he even tell me his weakness?

"I've already told you. I want a strong enemy." I just looked in the other direction. I know that is not his real reason.

      I rubbed the two stones, I watched as Ion watched, that in ancient times, fire was invented because of the two stones.

       But how can I make a fire when it is raining ?! He is right, the rain is on his side now. Aside from being able to turn it into ice, I also can't make a fire if the rocks are wet. And if I could do it, it would die right away because of the water.

"Use your eyes to create it." He says. He is now giving me an advice to create his weakness. He's unbelievable!

     How can I use my eyes to create a fire? I was thinking.

     Damn! He is f * cking right!

     I immediately looked at the leaves on the tree that was now soaking wet.

     I closed my eyes and stared again as the light came out of my eyes, I thought that light would have been on fire.

     When I looked up I smiled when I saw a tree on fire.

     I floated the tree and threw it at Dwight. Smoky so I could not see him immediately.

"I forgot, I am not afraid of an ordinary fire. My weakness is his fire." When he said that. He left. But before he disappeared from my sight, I heard him say.

"Stop giving me strange feelings, weakling."
