Chapter 24

"Seriously! I'm excited!" Exclaimed daldalita. He said earlier, this is the first time he will be with such people. We took a bus because there were only 36 of us.

"The three of us are next, Athena?" Chicken asked me as he ate what.

"Who else am I going to beat?" I answered him seriously. They don't really think.

"Dwight." Laughing said daldalita. Why would I? Also, he has been ignoring me since last night. We did not train last night.

I looked at my watch, it was only three o'clock in the morning. 3:30 our bus was leaving so the chicken came to my house early. Then, we picked up daldalita from them, and I was right, his father was mang Agoy. I just told him not to talk to me anymore because I knew that daldalita would just ask me a question.

"What are you carrying, Jensen?" Daldalita asked him. I plugged the headset into my ear, it was the only technology I had. Ion bought me yesterday, he put it on my side table yesterday, he still doesn't pay attention to me.

"Let's get on the bus." I command them both. I told them we sat in the front because I did not want to see people. I still don't like them, but since daldalita and chicken are my friends, they can be patient.

We got on the bus. Many were still sick so we left at four o'clock.

Honestly, I was waiting for Thyra to ride but she was not there. He told me that he was in the architecture department. Didn't he come along?

"Grabe huh!" He moaned. I was in the middle of them both because they said they wanted to talk in the window.

"Okay everyone, our first destination is Mt. Batolusong in Tanay, Rizal. Obviously, you will hike there, don't worry, we will go to a house first so you can get ready. That is the school owner's house. You will be needing a lot of water and a rubber shoes, you can bring your technologies so that you can post something on your social networking sites. I knew he would not pay attention to me so I just slipped through the door of his room with what I needed. When I woke up the next day, everything was in my room.

"We have two days in Batolusong." Said Sir Arthur. He smiled at me but I ignored that. These things are new to me so I lose sight of what they are saying ahead. While the two next to me were talking about the things they were carrying, what they were going to do there and what other things I think made no sense.

I turned on my headset again because I turned it off when a professor spoke. I also want to listen somehow. I don't know what they will do, I still know myself even a little bit.

"Our next destination is on Mreine's retreat center." My whole system stopped. I removed my headset. I heard it right, he mentioned Mreine. Sir Arthur stared at me meaningfully, I know what he's trying to imply.

"Sorry?" I said, sir Arthur smiled at me.

"Mreine's retreat house." He smiled again. I just bowed, things are getting more confusing. Mreine is everywhere, literally everywhere.

I was just stunned the whole trip. Nothing enters my brain, literally. I don't know why but my brain is literally blank. I do not think, I do not feel.

"Yuhooo!" I just woke up to the scream of daldalita and the chicken. I looked at the two of them and noticed that people were getting off the bus. How many hours have I been stunned?

"Come on, Athena." The chicken said happily to me. I carried my suitcase, as well as chicken and chatter carrying a large bag each besides our large suitcase.

I only brought clothes, hats and shoes because they said they would take care of what we ate. So I could not understand why everyone with me was carrying so much.

We got off the bus and were greeted by a large house. Its design is old but you obviously can still make it. We went inside it, its design is elegant inside and modern modern unlike the outside.

"There are 23 rooms here, it was really made as a lodging house for those who will climb Mt. Batolusong. It will be up to you in which room you will sleep with your friends. ll give you 30 minutes to do that, now go! " We went upstairs where the rooms were. The three of us entered when we saw a door at the very end. This is the only room that has not yet been entered. It was open so we went in, a big bed was here and we seemed to fit in here.

I brought my clothes for another six days because the chickens told me that we would definitely get dirty so I would bring a lot. That's why I brought a big suitcase.

I put on my rubber shoes like they said. I also wore a simple dress and long shorts.

"Athena, this oh, I still have an extra bag here, here put the clothes you will bring there." Chicken said to me once handing me a modest backpack. I put clothes and a bottle of water here.

When we finished, we went downstairs and out of the house. We saw some people ready too. I don't know what to do in hiking, I also don't want to ask because I don't want to look like a mang mang. I will just follow the flow of what will happen because I know I will not be harmed.

"Selfie!" Suddenly the chicken shouted, he presented me to his cellphone and he pressed it. He showed me my replica. I can’t believe I see myself again because of this cellphone. This can happen.

He took his cellphone from me and we started walking towards the foot of Mt. Batolusong.

"It's a bit steep here so don't bother." An old professor said I did not know the name.

We started walking, chicken and chatter clinging to me. When they are tired of walking, they all have difficulty. But why do I seem to be just passing a normal path? Why is it always like this? When Dwight and I trained in the woods, I did not feel any potholes or anything, while Dwight almost fell because he was having a hard time. What is going on?

Dwight looked around as he frowned. He stopped looking at me.

"Come on people! Get up and start the trail!" Sir Arthur shouted so we got up. They said it would take three hours before we could climb to the top of this mountain. I lasted three hours fighting without water so I can definitely last just climbing.

This is called hiking. Surprisingly, daldalita was excited to do it while it was tiring.

We started walking again. Many are also complaining that they have a wound and that their foot hurts. But I do not feel anything. Even thirst I do not feel. People are really weak, they are too complaining.

After three and a half hours, we were able to climb. We spent too much time relaxing. The two of them also ran out of my water bag, I don't need it so it's okay.

"There are waterfalls here, but you can still go and use them tomorrow. There are tents ready here for you to sleep tonight, there are only seven tents so there are five in it. He re-entered their tent and when he came out he was carrying a school jogging pants. He looked at me badly and slowly approached me.

"What is that?" I raised an eyebrow at his question. He looked at my thigh so I looked up. What is wrong with that? I see nothing.

He threw me his jogging pants. He looked at me again and turned his back on me and said,

"Stop attracting me, please?"
