For the rest of the school week, Andrew and Sandy met up at her locker and shared kisses in between classes. He would walk her to class and she would flutter into the room like she was floating on air. She couldn't stand being apart from him for that hour she was in class, but they would text each other the entire time. Before she would get on her bus, he would walk her and they'd kiss outside the doors. They were inseparable and she felt herself falling for him so quickly that she hardly knew what to do except remind herself that she needed to slow down, and that he hadn't even asked her to be his girlfriend yet.
"I don't know what he's waiting for," Sandy said to her friends at lunch. "Maybe he's waiting for the right moment," Jazz said, trying to make her feel better. "Or maybe he's a man w***e who's secretly seeing a bunch of other girls at different schools," Kate added, trying to play the bad cop. "He's not like that, he's coming to my house on Friday to watch a movie, maybe he will ask then." Her friend's hard words sat eyes and opened his locker to get his book out. As she opened it, a zebra stuffed animal fell out. "I thought it would be better than just a picture," Andrew said, smiling at his girlfriend. "I love it!" Sandy yelled be- fore throwing herself into Andrews arms. She was really enjoying the whole having a boyfriend thing.
"Good morning beautiful," Sandy read on her phone Saturday morning. Andrew made it his mission to text her good morning before she woke up, and usually always succeeded. "Good morning my pris- oner," Sandy replied, since it was Halloween and they got to dress up in their couples costume that night. Before then, Sandy had plans to spend the day with one of her best friends from dance class, Anne. She couldn't wait to tell her all about Andrew and get relationship advice. Anne was a few years older and had been dating for longer, so Sandy was hoping she could get the 411 on how to be the best girlfriend. Anne also had her license and a car which was a complete bonus.
"Hey girl!" Anne said when Sandy got into her lime green Honda CR-V. She was always so cheerful and Sandy loved that about her. "Dunkin, on me?" Sandy asked, feeling somewhat guilty having Anne drive them around today. "You don't have to ask me twice!" she replied, winking at Sandy. "So tell me, tell me all about this new boy I get to meet tonight." Sandy had invited her to come with them to the Halloween party. "Oh goodness where to even begin," she started, "he has the absolute cutest smile, a killer body, and he's been texting me good morning every morning since we started dating." "He sounds dreamy," Anne replied. Sandy then added that he also already told her that he loved her. Anne didn't comment on it, but Sandy could tell she was sceptical of him saying those words so soon. To be honest, Sandy was too but she wasn't about to let that ruin her new and perfect relationship. Besides, she could seriously feel herself falling for him as the days went by.
Dunkin donuts, cheeseburgers and a tiny shopping spree later, Anne dropped Sandy back off at her house to get ready for the party.
Copyrighted material her for the rest of the week, though, but Sandy tried to ignore them and reassure herself that she was the only one he was seeing. "They texted all the time so he couldn't possibly be texting her while he was with other girls," she thought to herself.
Friday evening had arrived and Andrew was going to be at Sandy's house any minute. She had ordered a pizza and picked out a scary movie, since it was a week before Halloween. She wore jeans and a shirt because she wanted him to like her just the way she was. The door- bell rang and Sandy let Andrew in her house, with a hug and a tippy toe kiss, before she guided him to the living room. Naturally, her parents made it a big deal to meet him and introduce themselves, which was super awkward for Sandy but she wanted and needed her dad to like An- drew, since she was such a daddy's girl.
Once the introductions were over, Sandy and Andrew were finally alone. She put on the movie and snuggled up nice and close to him. "Hi," he said to her before giving her a quick kiss. "Hi back," she replied feeling like she could stay there on the couch with him forever.
They hardly watched the movie and spent most of the time kissing, with the occasional interruption of her dad, who wanted to make sure they were making room for Jesus. With the movie almost over, Sandy felt herself getting antsy that he still hadn't asked her to be his girl- friend. She picked up her phone to text Kate but Andrew snatched it out of her hands before she could do so. He faced the phone away from her and typed something that she couldn't see. He told her that she couldn't pick her phone back up unless someone texted her.
Sure enough, about ten minutes later, she got an incoming text from Kate. It read "OMG DID HE?" Looking at Andrew confused, Sandy showed him her response. "Read what I said," he told her with an evil grin. Sandy opened up her phone to look over the conversation. Before Kate's reply, Andrew had texted her "I think he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend," with a bunch of heart emoji's. Sandy finally caught on and looked back at Andrew. "So, will you?" He asked. She could feel her inner goddess jumping for joy. "Um, of course I will," Sandy replied, automatically, before grabbing his face and kissing him hard. She was so ecstatic to finally have a boyfriend and even more ecstatic that it was Andrew.
Not long after, Andrew announced that his mom was there to pick him up and he needed to go. Sandy walked him to the door, still swooning over the question he had just asked her, and gave him one last tippy toe kiss of the night. When he walked down the stairs to the side- walk, Andrew turned to look at Sandy. "I love you," he said in a soft- ish tone so only Sandy could hear. "I love you too," she replied, without even thinking twice about what those three magical words meant. He loved her and she loved him and that's all she cared about.
The next week in school was the most magical week that Sandy could have ever asked for. She was surrounded by people constantly telling her how cute Andrew and her were. Even better, the weekend coming up was Halloween which meant her and Andrew could dress up in a couples costume. "Party City after school to pick out our costumes?" Andrew asked Sandy. "I'll ask my mom if she could drive us," Sandy replied, sure that her mom would say yes. After about an hour of trying on different costumes, they finally decided on a prisoner and a cop. Andrew was going to be the prisoner dressed in orange and Sandy would be the sexy cop in a short blue skirt, handcuffed to her.
Jazz had originally planned a Halloween party for her peeps but was more than happy to add some new friends to the list. "How many people are coming now?" Kate asked Jazz during lunch. "I'm pretty sure we are up to thirty people," Jazz said, with shocked, nervous eyes. "Holy moly, we are going to have to order way more pizza than expected," Sandy added in. "At least that means more guys to choose from," Kate said, lifting her eyebrows at Jazz. Jazz made a sensual face at Kate and they all giggled. Sandy felt butterflies develop in her stomach, thinking about the fact that there was no other man she wanted besides the one she had.
She walked to class alone that day because Andrew was on a field trip to the zoo, with his science class. Her one request from him was that he took a picture of a zebra for her. Her favorite animal of all time was a shark, but she also really loved zebras. She couldn't wait for him to come back to school though, she didn't like school without him there.
"I got you something," Andrew said to her when they reunited by his locker. "Oh yeah? What is it?" Sandy asked anxiously. "I'll give it to you later; will you get my book out of my locker for me?" Andrew asked. Not seeing why he couldn't do that himself, Sandy rolled her
eyes and opened his locker to get his book out. As she opened it, a zebra stuffed animal fell out. "I thought it would be better than just a pic- ture," Andrew said, smiling at his girlfriend. "I love it!" Sandy yelled before throwing herself into Andrews arms. She was really enjoying the whole having a boyfriend thing.
