Dominic looked helpless, afraid Nelson Cooper wouldn't believe him. To prove his point, he even pulled up his chat history with Claire.

Nelson glanced down at the screen, then let out a laugh — low, bitter, with a sharp edge of self-mockery.
"She sure has a lot to say to you."
With him, it was always either a scolding or a reminder to stay the hell away — cold, blunt, and unfairly rational.
