As they strode into the nursery, Summer instructed everyone to put the pups and babies on the small bed. Instructing the others to leave, she allowed only Eva to remain. The Alpha's and Luca left grudgingly, but understood Summer needed time alone with her pups to bond with them.
Summer curled up beside them, shifting into her wolf form and nudging each pup to do the same. Their little bodies rippled and emerged into adorable furballs who clambered over each other to reach their mother. Summer knew, instinctively, this was the only way to feed her little litter of pups, and most nursed greedily, instinctively knowing their mother. Only the eldest did not attempt to feed, though Summer nudged him encouragingly with her nose until he eventually conceded.
