The sun had already risen when Alpha Clark lifted his head. Summer was still in wolf form and looked blissfully content. Sadly, he nuzzled her. Summer's expression sorted from contented to sorrowful. Alpha Clark whined softly, she was as sad as he over their parting. He nudged her again, edging her towards waking, then said up, shaking it his coat, stretching and then shifting. Summer's wolf was not tiny like many Luna's - perhaps that's how she carried such a huge litter of pups.
Summer stared awake when Clark stood up. She saw him in human form and took the hint, shifting painfully as her clamps moved on her changing body. The pups kicked and squirmed in protest, but settled soon after.
