The rest of their ride passed innocently, as Summer clutched onto Barton and they all drove behind the couple. After some time, Barton and his entourage made it to the pack camp, having decided Nikoli would have returned there by now. As they approached, however, the clearing was empty. Alpha Barton leapt from the vehicle, scenting blood immediately. When they found the pool of it, Summer became distressed.
"Why can I smell Luca? Is this his blood? Alpha Barton, swear your pack would not have attacked him!" Summer demanded.
Marco and Harrison were frantic, whilst Alpha Barton looked concerned, not immediately denying it. Instead, he reached out with his mind to Nikoli.
Alpha Nikoli, what happened in camp? There's blood everywhere!
