58 After careful discussions with String and Bean, Running Feet understood enough about the position of the swamp to guide Tarkyn’s mind to the general vicinity. With String and Bean keeping guard, Tarkyn closed his eyes and, maintaining his link with Running Feet, scoured through the trees looking for a heron’s mind to tune into. He remembered the heron who had taken his mind soaring above the forests and who had treated his attempts at intimidation with such disdain.
