December 14, Night 10 PM Vishal’s Hostel Room A phone beeped in the middle of the night in a room with wall clock showing the time precisely 10pm. Vishal who has done a night duty the before day slept early that evening. He woke up drowsily cursing under his breath and looked at the phone call. His immediate instinct was to turn off the phone call but it could be some emergency. So, half-mindedly he accepted the call and said "hello" in his lazy thick voice. "Hello Vishal" Surya shouted amidst of the loud voice in the background which was so explicit that he was in a pub. "Could you come to the Over the main restaurant in Gachibowli?" "I am busy." He was about to hung up the call. “There are four foreigners with me" These words rejuvenated Vishal. “Girls? No way!" Vishal rebuked recalling the past experience with Evy. “No. Face your fears!” Surya encouraged. “These girl are different. You will enjoy their company” The next moment Vishal hung up the call and got ready for the party and blew too much deodorant all over his body that ended up coughing. Vishal parked the car and took the elevator to land in 8th floor and entered the Over the Moon restaurant. The restaurant was widely spacious with several tables arranged around a spectacularly wide pillar standing at the centre of the bar around which the bartenders supplied the beverages for the day. Out of the crowd Surya emerged looking jovial. Vishal was wearing his Tweed suit over Armani t-shirt against a thin jeans pant over completely mis-fitting flip flop. "Where is shoes man?" "They were torn" Vishal told innocently out of bewilderment. Surya being quite exasperated. "How you live man? Don’t you know you have to wear shoes in pubs? How did the guard allowed you" Vishal shrugged. In a moment Surya turned to the other side and guided Vishal to a table. "These are the South American girls." And showed 4 girls sat around a table with Sangria, a reddish colour wine, with straw dangling leisurely in their hands, were having a casual conversation. “Hey” Vishal said warily. They immediately acknowledged his presence, got up from their chairs and came forward to hug him. What Vishal couldn't expect was that they even showed their cheeks to kiss upon. Karen, a short and chubby pale woman with Mongolian appearance hailing from Colombia hugged first. Later, followed by Estafany, a slender woman with childlike face from Perguay, showed her cheek with a hug. While kissing Estafany, as a bonus, she showed her other cheek, as if she followed Gandhi's principle in some other way. "Well in our country we kiss on either side.” Surya shrugged “I told you enjoy this” Muvroi, a tall and hefty woman with difficulty in English forwarded to hug and kiss. When he approached the 4th woman, an attractive fair complexioned blonde with long face and full framed spectacles, his eyes bulged with horror. “Evy Mendez!” The girl gave a cunning smile. Vishal took to his heels to run other side but Surya caught him with suit which eventually torn and Vishal hit the following hardly. Massaging the bump over his head, he looked over his shoulder toward Surya with raised eye brows. Surya chuckled while spreading his hand to lift. “That’s just a game, nothing to bother about. You have to feel thankful for me.” Vishal stood erect, smoothened his tweed suit and tapped on his right leg impatiently demanding explanation. “The previous day was all just a set up. I knew Evy before all. I told her about you. She planned to play a prank on you. At least that gave a good experience how to handle a completely stranger girl” “Practically, she was not a stranger then!” “At least she was a stranger for you. What if someone completely stranger tried to kill you, what would you do? Don’t think too much my friend. Take it as a mock drill. That experience helped you to develop your wits.” He advanced a step closer “This horrific experience connected you both people. Now it’s easy for you to establish a relationship with her” Surya gave a wicked smile. Vishal responded with an appreciating nod. Later Vishal sat between Muyroi and Evy with Evy on his left. He began bragging about himself the way he cracked MBBS in single attempt and PG, with a casual NEET test. He frequently held Evy's waist which she didn't mind. For sometime, he tried conversation with Muyroi as he didn't want to be seen too much focussing on Evy but Muyroi was quite a disappointment with her poor skills in English while Evy, on the other hand, was an English teacher came to India to excel further to teach primary school students. Everyone had their own reasons for coming to learn English in EFLU of Osmania University. Apart from that they enjoy their leisure time in pubs and parties. Surya sought their attention for a moment and handed 4 books of his novel and gave it to each of them and began telling about his book. "Don't brag too much about your book" Vishal chuckled. "It's all for you Vishal. If I come up with the movie, you are the hero, right?" He winked. All the girls chuckled. Vishal knew it's a losing battle to try to banter Surya, so, sat silently. "So, what are your plans next?" Evy asked inquisitively. ”I will go to Surya’s room and sleep.” "Vishal could you come aside?" He excused himself and joined near the washroom. The girls exchanged their looks. "Don't be i***t Vishal. Utilise this opportunity. Don't come to my room. Understand man" Now Vishal realised and grinned like hyena. They came back and occupied seats. "Where have you gone?" Evy asked. Vishal stumbled to answer and flustered a moment. To his relief, Surya managed "His Mom called me" "Why his Mom called you?” Karen asked while sipping her Sangrias “I told his mother that we are going duty. But he didn't lift the call so she called me. Isn't it, Vishal?" he stressed his last set of words hinting not to complicate further. "True" Vishal quite relieved. Vishal always does have a trouble to converse with girls. Loose mouth. Once he conversed with a few north Indians nearby Rama Krishna Math who happened to be in the same class of personality development. Despite the hour lecture of personality, he learned nothing as he talked so stupidly and ended with asking phone numbers of a complete stranger. Initially the girl told she changed her number and later she stopped coming to the next week class. Another day he went to a church and repeated the same stunt. And ended up asking her number. It was so evident that he was so desperate but with the time he learnt some lessons. Somehow, he learnt this art of speaking with girls and controlled his urge to ask phone numbers. At some point they had a conversation regarding the country she lived in. Evy opened the google maps and showed the small country Costa Rica which was beneath the Mexico, a connection between North and South America. Vishal took it as an opportunity and slowly slipped his hands over her neck, gently rubbing the sides with frequent nods encouraged her to converse more. It gave him a surreal feeling. To make her more comfortable he even ordered a few more drinks. After a while all the girls headed to washroom. Vishal thanked Surya for inviting him. "Which girl did you choose?" told Surya half-mindedly while paying bill. "I like Evy. What about you?" "Man! I brought you here to make you more expose to girls so that you don't suffer with those pervert thoughts. I surpassed this phase a long time ago. Now I am only into serious relationships." "Now I feel I can develop more control over my senses" “It's not completely your mistake either as you misbehaved with girls. It's this generation. Earlier we didn’t have access to phones. Now technology advanced. So many beautiful girls are in f*******: and i********:. So difficult to not to develop fantasies. So, we need to hang out with girls often to contain ourselves. But parents never understand this. They restrict you from moving socially, saying these all are dangerous. But real dangers linger in loneliness with social media and desperately texting to girls who never care about you. Utilise this time wisely and try to understand female psychology and be a gentle man to earn their love instead of seeing them as objectives of s*x" "I keep your words in mind. Well, I can start with cycling with Evy tomorrow to develop good rapport with her. But’ why didn't you let me sleep in your room?" Vishal looked for simple logical explanation from Surya. "Because you talk aloud in the middle of sleep and kicks anyone beside you" Not just logical but startling for Vishal. December 14, Night 10pmDecember 14, Night 10pm
