Knock! Knock! I looked to see Jenny, my secretary.
“Someone’s here for you.” She said as she looked worried about me.
I knew that look!. Oh I knew it!
Whenever Jenny came to my office, it was normal to think that something was wrong. Because something always was..
I felt that way because the last time she called, it was my abusive father that was there.
He came and harassed me so much that my boss came and rescued me from that situation, with a strict warning to my father never to come anywhere close to me again, and if he did, he’d get him arrested again.
“I’m so sorry for that” he said softly
I smiled as I recalled Rhys saying to me.
