Chapter 22 For Me?

Samuel's POV~~~

Pacing back and forth waiting for that smug bastard Roger, my anger only increased. I cant believe my daughter was attacked on his land, i tried to catch a scent of her culprit but the salt water had cleared all traces from her. When i first heard her scream for me through the mindlink my wolf completely took over, that has never happened before. 

'OUR PUP WAS IN DANGER, IT WAS MY INSTINCT TO PROTECT HER' ' i know that Sherrock,' i growled back at him. Sonya, Serena's wolf had also taken over when i turned into a raging mess almost tearing down the door to get out following her scent. " You wanted a meeting Alpha King Samuel?" Roger's  voice brought me back. 

" Yes, Someone From Your Realm Attacked my Daughter!, I Want all Wolves searching for the Culprit NOW"!  i roared slamming my hand down and breaking the table i was sitting at. He never flinched as i stared at him breathing heavy.

 " While i understand your frustrations, did you talk with your daughter on a description? I will comb the beach for clues but im not sure what we looking for." 

Moving quickly i was a mere few inches from his face as Sherrock overcame me ' YOU WILL FIND THEM NOW OR THERE WILL BE WAR'  The fear in his eyes was gone before anyone else could see it. He knew we where one of the strongest realms and that the others would no doubt side with me with the circumstances.

 " Well dont be rash, we will find the ignorant bloke in no time." Roger replied shaking his head he left the room quickly, If he wastes anymore time i will have his head.

~~~~ Sarah POV~~

Sunshine peeking through the curtains, i sat up rubbing my eyes. Sophie was still lightly snoring beside me arms wrapped around the pillow and slight drool out the corner of her mouth. i smiled watching her sleep, while it sounds creepy i was just so happy she was safe. i had thought all night long how i was going to keep her that way, if i told my dad i have no doubt he would kill Beta Evans. As much as i would love to watch him die slowly i couldn't risk starting a war. 

Reluctantly i left the bed being careful not to wake Sophie i placed my pillow sideways against her back. Deciding to take a bath and attempt to ease my thoughts, i turned the water onto the porcelain tub. The hot water steamed the air around the room, slipping off my shirt and shorts i stepped into the tub and sunk down to the bottom. opening  my eyes beneath the water, i always loved the look from under it. The ripples giving the glimpse of a whole other world,  smiling to myself i came back up taking a deep breath. resting my head against the rim of the tub i used the sponge to wash my arms and legs. 

"Sarah" the door opened a c***k and Sophie popped her head in " Your phone is ringing like crazy, i think home heard of your attack by now" i nodded at her " Yes im sure they have, ill be out in a minute, please dont leave yet." Sophie huffed at me and rolled her eyes, " okay, just hurry up im hungry" i smiled sweetly at her and nodded in response.

 Forcing myself out of the warmwater that felt like security i dried myself off and pulled on a long Yellow strapless dress that hugged my chest and waist tightly but gave a free wave to my hips and knees. 

After getting dressed i checked my phone, 13 missed calls including video requests and 32 text messages. i decided that i would take Sophie to breakfast and see about returning the calls later. 

Sophie grabbed my hand and tugged me to the door, " Come on slow poke im starving". i chuckled at her but obliged her as we walked hand in hand to the dining room for breakfast. I wanted to stay in my room with her all day, but Sadie was stirring in my mind making sure i couldn't wallow in self pity. She nor my pride would allow it, i wouldn't give in to it, my royal blood coursing through my veins pulsed against my skin as i neared the hall. i hadn't realized i was squeezing Sophie s hand so tight until she jerked her arm and elbowed me " Your cutting off circulation nit wit" she hissed at me.

 " Sorry Soph, i was just...never mind, im sorry" i gave a small smile and she patted my arm " Its going to be okay sissy, daddy will find the scum who tried to hurt you" she smiled a toothy grin and tugged me down the hall. Catching the eye of Rogan at the entrance, Sophie tightened her grip on me as she gave him a disapproving glare.  we continued on to the table taking our seats close to the head.  

"Good Morning Princesses, Alpha King and Queen" Beta Evans bowed to us as he entered the hall. I shifted slightly in my seat but stared with a blank face towards him, i refused to give into my inner coward wanting to slide under the table and hide. I pushed the thoughts away tightening my grip on Sophie and gave a polite nod.

" Good Morning,  have we any news on the assaulter ?" My father the ever straight to the point man he is.  "Our best trackers combed the beach last night, we found no unusual scents but we should discuss what we did find later in my office" Alpha King Roger spoke the last part in a low voice leaning towards my father. He nodded in return although the agitation was clear in his face.  

'I HOPE THEY FOUND SOMETHING' Sadie says in a growl. ' i concur Sadie, i hope they did find something. ' 

Finishing my plate i looked up " Oh Sarah Honey" Luna Queen Regina addressed me " Raegan will be here shortly, would you accompany me to the garden to await him" she smiled sweetly at me. I looked toward my father and he nodded his head "but dad i would like to know what they found, can i please go with you" i mindlinked my father, he shook his head no in return.

 I shied away but answered her politely " Yes ma'am i would be delighted" i managed to keep the disappointment from my voice as i stood up to follow her.  Feeling eyes on me i turned my head and caught Rogans eyes. He smiled warmly at me and proceeded to stand and follow his mother and i. " Its good to see you darling, you look beautiful" he brushed my hand with his fingers as we walked towards the garden.  

The white oak doors opened to the garden, white lilies, purple hydrangeas and blue bonnets surrounded a large concrete fountain. The fountain was a round basin with a life-size wolf statue standing next to a man in Armour.  The blue sky gave a perfect backdrop, my eyes squinted at the glare from a white car coming down the drive. Regina bounced on her heels and clasped her hands together in delight staring towards the Mercedes. Looking around the stairs had filled up with others awaiting his arrival, he must be extremely popular, majority of the crowd was women. 

Typical i thought to myself, prophetical son and notorious womanizer, this guy was a playboy bigger than Max. Oh Max, i missed him so much, i better message him when i get a slow moment. Im sure he and Millie are about to fly down here, they both are so protective of me, i smiled thinking of them. The car came to a stop at the entrance of the palace.  

I shifted my gaze to the back passenger door when a large man at least 6'5 and 350lbs stepped out, his dark brown hair was tied in a ponytail and his suit was pressed and sharp fitting. i knew this couldn't be Raegan, he had been a big guy but not this huge along with his hair was blonde in color. the surprise must have been written all over my face as Rogan nugged my shoulder and whispered low " thats Tank hes our Palace head of security" i nodded and gave a oh in return.  

Tank as Rogan had called him turned around after greeting the family and Raegan stepped into view ocean blue eyes shining bright. He smiled at me so wide i thought his face might break, he moved to hug his mother and mumbled hellos to the others as his gaze stayed locked on me, Rogan shifted his body away from me but didnt move enough to not be within touching distance. 

Raegans eyes had me pinned in place as he reached for my hand brushing kisses against my knuckles" Princess Sarah, a pleasure to finally see you again. You are just as radiant as i remember."  i smiled politely as Rogan gave a snort next to me. 

"Thank you,  Prince Raegan you are to kind" i forced myself to answer him as i tried to contain my inner eye rolling, his touch didn't effect me as Rogans did. He let my hand go as he continued " im delighted that you would greet me from my trip. Mother tells me you are to be presented tomorrow evening after a tour through our grounds."

 "yes that is true" i replied in a monotone voice, i was already bored with the conversation and the way the girls on the steps seemed to sigh dreamily everytime he spoke. ' HE IS PRETTY HOT, HES GOT THAT SURFER BOY VIBE'  snorting at Sadie's description i only covered it with a cough. 

Rogan turned beside me as we began walking into the palace, " so am i to believe you are like everyone else and are falling in love with my brother?" the sadness in his tone had me wanting to comfort him. i patted his arm as replied " im not it love with anyone, im giving everyone a chance, however he does seem to be quite in love with himself" watching from behind his mother, he smiled and winked multiple times to maids and other females that we passed by. 

He seems to be quite the man w***e i thought inwardly. While i admit he is quite handsome his overly measured ego is a concern. Raegan is definitely the charismatic and sultry brother with his ash blonde hair and ocean eyes. 

   "Princess Sarah, would you care to join me at a welcome home party this evening?" Raegan apparently had finished his rounds of wooing the other females and had decided to acknowledge my presence now. I only stared at him waiting for him to continue, as my silence stretched he continued " It is only a small get together down by the beach, only a few dozen wolves at most, along with there will be a fire and dancing." 

Going back to the beach had me nervous but i knew i couldnt show fear here so i replied " Yes, that sounds pleasant, will there be beer? smores too?" Rogan and Raegan both laughed and Rogan replied " What my darling wants she shall have, ill make the necessary arrangements. " i smiled at them and stepped away heading to my room to return the few calls i knew i needed to. I could feel there eyes on me as i walked away but didnt turn around to see there faces.

 Finally back into the privacy of my room i flopped down onto my bed and grabbed for my phone. Millie would be the first i called, she needed to know what all went on, Max should be next then Bruce i thought. 

Dialing Millie's number by heart it rang once before she picked up immediately starting to hound me with questions, i rolled my eyes at her dramatics " Sarah Ellingford, this is an outrage! why was none with you to protect you! What did the sleazeball look like ive already got Max, Bruce Santos and Vicky all ready to come down there and kill someone!" i smiled at the last part.

 I loved how protective they are, " Millie calm down, im okay really, i was aggravated with this whole business and needed to take a breather, i was lost in my thoughts and didnt realize i was so far away. in my rush to return i crashed into him and things went downhill from there." i sighed and didnt really want to continue, the stench of his breath and the ash taste still haunted me.

 " Oh sarah, im so sorry we arent there, we miss you like crazy" She was talking softer now, the shuffling and her growling at someone peaked my interest though. Max's voice filtered through the line " Sarah, my doll how are you? im so happy to hear your voice, who dared to attack you ill kill him. Was it one of the d**k Deverouxs ill string him up by his neck and rip his intestines through his rib-cage!" He growled in the phone. 

I sighed " Max, it wasnt one of the Deverouxs , i miss you though, i wished i was home in your arms." my voice broke at the end and i couldnt hold back the sobs that started," Max, i want to come home, i hate it here, i dont want anyone to fight over me i just want to be loved and cherished. I dont want this" my voice came out muffled though the tears. 

Shuffling on the phone max began " Doll, dont cry its all going to be okay, im here for you Millie his right here too. We even have Bruce and Vicky in here, your on speaker. Please dont cry my beautiful doll" a growl from Bruce had me trying to calm my tears as much as i could. I knew they all where listening to me fall apart, as i continued taking deep breaths i could hear Millie filling them in on the story i had given her " Millie " i all but whispered. 

The chatter stopped and her voice came though in a soft comfort " Yes Sarah, im here dont worry, whats going on" i took a deep breath " Yall there's More" .
