Chapter 29-Frenamies

"S..a..rrraahhhh" continued pushing against my side and my name on repeat Sophie was relentless. I growled and threw the pillow at her covering my eyes with my hand at the blinding light. I swear this girl is a pain but i couldn't give her up if i had the choice. I swore again as she pulled my blanket off and screeched at my panties and bare chest. 

"Ewe! Don't you ever wear clothes! What if i was a male waking you up!" Her rant went further but i had rolled over onto my stomach and put another pillow over my head. "Your asking for a serious beat down little girl" i growled sitting up. She stopped talking and stared at me, c*****g her head to the side and sticking her hip out with her hand resting there.

"Yeah, okay you and what army almighty one?" i only growled again at her challenge and lounged at her sass. "I don't need an army you brat!" i replied tackling her, she was in front of the bedside close to the windows. She screamed as we landed on the couch as i proceeded to tickling her. My father and two guards burst into my room as her screams and my actions halted. There i was topless and on top of my sister in front of them. 

Luckily all were mated males and immediately turned around at the realization of no danger and profusely apologized to my father and I. 'SARAH WE REALLY HAVE TO START KEEPING CLOTHES ON OR SOMETHING. AT THIS RATE THE WHOLE KINGDOMS WILL SEE OUR ASSETS.' Sadie basically face palmed at me and turned her back to me. 

I Snatched my shirt from the floor and quickly covered myself. "Good morning daddy and guards. We were just playing, i apologize for the commotion and my indecency. I get hot at night." I shrugged at the last part, the guards nodded still turned around and left hastily. 

"That is quite alright troublemaker, your just adding to your claim on the nickname i guess" I heard my father sigh as he turned around and walked toward us. Sophie jumped from the couch and hugged his waist as he took me into his embrace as well. We stood there holding one another as he said "I just can't imagine loosing either of you and i will not ever abandon the chance to step in and save ya'll." 

I smiled into his shoulder and nodded, i couldn't reply since my wolf and i were both holding in tears of happiness and love. I knew my father meant his words and would fight till the death to save any of us. i mindlinked my father with an idea "daddy, since Gezara is now one of us, could we change her too?" He stilled at me question, he pulled away slightly and looked down at me with such pride. 

He mindlinked back "Now that my troublemaker is an idea that makes you a wonderful sister. I shall discuss it with your mother and let you know." Now that Gezara has been claimed as his own and we are discussing changing her we are even more of a target for the council. As if my thoughts beckoned for her she appeared in the doorway. "Awweee, did i miss the daddy daughter moment already?" She faked hurt as she giggled. 

"Nope just in time" came my fathers reply as he opened his arm and motioned for her to join. She happily skipped over and joined in the embrace as we all stood there in a huddle. Dad was the first to let go as we followed suit. "Okay ladies, on a more serious note. This realm is exceptionally suspicious and there are eyes along with ears everywhere. Please be on your best behavior and keep your attitudes and lewd comments at zero."He glared at me on the last part. 

I put my hands up in surrender "Hey i just woke up! I Haven't even left the room yet!" I attempted to defend myself as he rolled his eyes and motioned between my sister and I. "That's exactly my point, you haven't left the room and already have woken the entire place with a story of the princesses fighting topless." He groaned and covered his face dragging his hands down as if exhausted. 

Gezara giggled and nudged me "Pretty sure it'll get the twins up hearing that your topless huh!" Dad turned a glare at her and then again at me. "Gezara, do not encourage her. This is to be a few days of superior behavior and etiquette along with a Christmas party. I want you all to remember your places and to watch your tongues."

The gruffness in his voice seemed to make us all stand a little straighter. He was tired i could tell and i felt guilty, most of it was probably backlash from my killing the beta. I know i would not have done things any different though and i am sure my father new that. He himself was itching to kill the evil wasted space of a wolf. He turned to leave after a few more looks between us telling Sophie to go see mom for her hair that it was almost time for breakfast. 

Sophie grumbled incoherently as Gezara motioned toward the bathroom. "Get your shower and ill get your clothes then do your hair and makeup. That is my job now after all" She shrugged and flopped down on the bed waiting for me to go. I nodded and did as she asked, the water was warm and inviting but to soon turned cold so i stepped out drying off. 

'WE NEED TO SPEAK TO GEZARA, SOMETHING IS WRONG. SHE IS SMELLING OF SADNESS AND EVEN A TWINGE OF JEALOUSY' Sadie informed me as i was wrapping the towel around me. 

Entering the bedroom a light blue dress with off the shoulder sheer fabric was placed on the bed. Gezara was looking out the window lost in thought as i slid by picking my undergarments i spoke quietly "Gez, are you alright? Sadie can smell your sadness and it is hurting me to know that. You can tell me anything you know that right?" i turned to her after slipping on my dress. 

She still hadn't said anything so i touched her arm gently and when she turned i seen the tears glistening her eyes.  "Sarah, im jealous. Im so jealous, i have watched you grow up in a place i was suppose to take and now i am serving you. I don't mean to be bitter, i just wished i was more. Not only that but the thought that a higher wolf may be my mate like my mothers and i will be executed. I want to be remembered, now i will be just another person forgotten for my no rank and that im a half breed." She didn't let the tears fall as she pretended to smooth the wrinkles in my dress. 

I stopped her hands with my own as i tilted her head to look at me "Gezara, you listen and you listen well. That will never happen, between myself, father, mother and Sophie you are safe. We won't allow anything to happen to you other than happiness. Do you understand me? You are my sister now and royalty, rank or no rank you matter to us all and are loved beyond measure." I gave as much emotion and sternness to my tone as i could without crying myself. I pulled her to me in a bone crushing hug that she returned and whispered "okay, your crushing me though."

I laughed and let her go as i fixed her straps on the yellow floral dress she was wearing. "Besides i may have been of talking with dad to get you changed anyway." Her eyes became so huge i thought they may fall out as she stammered "Whattt...you mean a wolf? you will make me a wolf?" 

I nodded as my father came back into the room. She immediately went to him puling his hands in hers "Is it true Alpha king Samuel? Are you going to give me a wolf?" My father nodded as he looked over to me "Yes, in fact Serena has agreed and we are going to think of a plan. The council monitors these things closely. To be given a wolf is an extreme honor but also a curse, you are but a few years older than Sarah. A wolf is given early in life because the transition can be extremely dangerous the older you are. Your body doesn't always accept the change and can cause death in the worst case of course. We will take every precaution to ensure your safety though, so don't worry my dear." He kissed her cheek as he squeezed her hand. 

"Now are we ready for breakfast with the Desert Wolves?" My mother had appeared in the doorway with Sophie in tow. She had french braided pigtails and her powder pink ruffled dress on. I smiled at them and looked back at my father "Are we ready daddy?" i asked playfully as i nudged past him, patting Gezara hand then giving my mom a hug.

He nodded as we all made our way down the hall absorbing the comfortable chatter from my parents. I risked a glance over at Gezara and she was grinning ear to ear and skipping. I internally laughed at her and shook my head. 'SHE IS BEYOND EXCITED SARAH, THAT WAS A GOOD THING TO DO. WE WILL MAKE A FINE QUEEN INDEED' Sadie's preening gave me an extra boost of confidence as we stepped into the dining room. 

The room was well lit with the open widows, a soft salty breeze blew and ruffled the curtains. The natural lighting pared nicely with the crystal chandelier hanging above the white wood table. The chairs had beautiful carvings of nautical designs in the backs and the seats where blue in color like the ocean. I scanned the room quickly to get a head count and idea who all was present. Noticing Luna Thalissa smiling at me and motioning me over to a seat across from her. 

I quickly sat down with the others following suit as our server began asking for our orders. This is new to me as i looked over the menu in front of me, i noticed my mom shift in her seat but didn't offer anymore of a reaction. I re-positioned as well and held my head high, no matter how uncomfortable i was i remembered my dad warning me. "Can i take your order your grace?" The small voice of the girl asked me.

"Good morning, i will have the meat and veggie omelette over medium along with a side of oatmeal and may i have a small bowl of fruit.?" i asked sweetly. She nodded her head and smiled at me "and what would you like to drink?" 

I looked up at her and she bowed her head not looking me in the eyes as i spoke again "Orange juice please." She smiled again as she went to ask the others, getting the same politeness from us seemed to raise her spirit and she even bounced out of the room. 

"Well aren't you such a delight, it would do well for you to spend extra time here and consort with my husband and boys. They need a little more sweetness to them." Luna queen Thalissa pointed looked to her boys and empty seat where he husband should be. That bothered me but i spoke anyway shrugging the nagging feeling there was bad blood here.

 "I will be here a few days, i could whip them in shape i suppose." I winked to her and she let out a loud laugh. It seemed to started the whole table as everyone hushed down staring in our direction. 

"Oh princess Sarah, i do quite enjoy your teasing, i have heard so many things of your beauty and ferocity but not of this! It is very refreshing to see this side, i would be proud to call you a daughter. Please call me Lissa, only my closest friends and allies i allow the pleasure." 

I was shocked to say the least. I have never had someone warm up so quickly to me and enjoy my joking as she has. I do think i should watch her closely but i do feel a sense of comfortably with her.

"Of course Lissa, you may in return call me Sarah, princess is to formal." i swatted at the air as the waitress returned with my drink. I smiled at her again and thanked her. Lissa did the same and the young girl seemed to startle. 

I ignored her as i felt eyes burning into me, i turned to see Theo glaring at me. What is this dudes problem, hes always glaring at me. I decided to address the issue publicly since he obviously wouldn't speak to me otherwise.

 "So, Prince Theo are you well this morning? I enjoyed the onyx yesterday, do you hunt and eat so brutishly often?"  

He scowled at me in return and tapped his fork against the table i'm assuming to keep his agitation down. "I don't know what you mean brutishly since it was a beast intended to hunt and eat. It is natural to enjoy a fresh meal, however you are welcome. Thank Teo though, he was the reason you came along and was allowed to lay around while we hunted."

I scowled now, what was this guys problem with me? 'WE SHOULD TAKE THIS OUTSIDE SO WE CAN GET BETTER AQUANTED. I WOULD LIKE A CHANCE TO SCAR HIS OTHER EYE' Sadie growled in my mind as i felt myself starting to bristle. 

"Princess Sarah, i do ask you ignore my brother. As you can already tell and like i said yesterday he has lost his mind and manners." Teo Growled and pushed at Theo's shoulder. He slammed his utensils down and pushed away from the table. 

"Excuse me i seem to have lost my appetite " He glared pointedly in my direction as he turned to leave the room. The whole table seemed to still as a new scent filtered into the room, even Theo had stopped. 

"Son, have a seat. I will not ask again." A medium framed guy with short black hair and brown eyes entered the room. He hand his arm on Theo shoulder as he stared straight ahead towards us all. His whole Ora screamed Alpha King, had i only paid more attention when dad briefed me on the plane. 

When will i start listening 'THAT IS ALPHA KING TAILO'  oh Sadie how i love you, saving me again i see. 

Theo turned and made his way back to the table and sat down next to his brother. The two's eyes glazed over and i assume the mindlink was filled with arguing at the rigid postures they held. 

"Good morning Ice wolves pack, sorry to be late. I had a few pressing matters to attend to. I hope my family and realm has been welcoming in my absence. Should you have any questions or concerns you may meet me in my office." Alpha King Tailo spoke formally as he scanned our side of the table.  He moved to kiss Lissa on the cheek and had i not been to close to her i would have missed the grimace she held. It was gone so quick i almost questioned myself but knew i should trust my continued bad blood feeling. I was determined to get the scoop about it, now that Lissa deemed me a friend it should be easily done.

He sat down as the waitress ask his order while he spoke i studied his demeanor. Thinking to myself that this man is handsome, but there is something almost dark in his nature. Like he has a secret and enjoys it almost. I looked over to Lissa who wore a blank expression as she made conversation with my mother about the days activities. 

"Theo would you accompany Sarah along with her handmaiden to the tailor? I would love to have them fitted for gowns for the Christmas party tomorrow evening." Her velvety voice filtered down the the twins. Theo groaned and looked up at the ceiling as Teo choked on his juice.  

"Mother, i do not have the availability today. I have pack training along with perimeter checks and multiple other prior engagements." He all but growled at his mother, this guy seriously must hate me. Although i have no idea what i have done to anger him so, i cannot even get him alone to ask him. 

Lissa opened her mouth to counter when Alpha King Tailo spoke up first " Theo you will escort the Princess along with Teo as guards then you can get to the other duties. After all you are an Alpha and that requires you to be multiple places at once." He sipped his coffee as he looked over his cup at the twins as if challenging them to go against him. 

The twins nodded and we resumed breakfast with very little chatter beyond my mother and Lissa discussing decor and such for the party. I really was dreading this as much as the twins, well mostly just being around Theo. 

Teo seemed pretty chill so maybe i could just stay close to him and enjoy the walk around the city to try on the dresses. The girly girl in me came out as breakfast ended and i met Gezara at the door ready to go.  "Ready to spend the day with fabric, needles and perfecting the mannequin act?" I giggled at Gezara's explanation and nodded as we started our walk through the city.
