Chapter 26- Challenging the Beta

Excusing ourselves to our quarters for an hour and half we were allowed to change and prepare before the challenge would commence. Of course everyone wanted to offer there advice, i decided to call the one person i knew that could offer the most insight.

A sleepy voice and a lot of shuffling with a closing of a door "Hello princess, is everything okay? You are calling at 3 am here." Bruce had picked up on the fourth wring and my heart soared when his voice came on the line. "Yes Bruce, i am fine, i did need help though. I challenged  Beta Evans to a fight of strengths and of course to prove i will not be his victim again"

The growl heard on the line had me pulling the phone from my ear. "what do you mean you challenged the beta! YOU WONT BE HIS VICTIM AGAIN? IS HE THE SCUM WHO ATTACKED YOU!"  His roaring like a lion had me not wanting to put the phone close to my ear again so i put him on speaker phone laying it on the bed. 

"To answer your questions shortly Bruce, yes to both. He was my attacker and he threatened Sophie, i couldn't tell anyone until i knew she was safe. Look i only called to get your support and advice, but if you would rather scold me and be so narrow minded ill just call Max for advice." I snapped back, i did not have time to waste here only having an hour and fifteen minutes left to prepare myself.

"I apologize princess, however beta Evan's is a shadow wolf and they do not fight fair. He will deceive you and distract you to get a fatal blow. Do not underestimate him or get distracted AT ALL stay focused and remember your training. I wish you all the luck of the moon and will anticipate your win whole heartedly. I know you can do this you are an exceptional fighter and even smarter strategist. Use that to your advantage as he does not know this about you." Bruce preened into the phone. " We do need to talk when you get home, but that can wait, Best of Luck Princess."

I smiled brightly "thank you Bruce, i knew i called the right wolf to give me the big head." He laughed and replied "Yes well i am no pup now, I expect a full report and reenactment to help out our warriors after you defeat the bastard."

Laughing at his comment "Of course head warrior, I will call you soon, goodnight and sleep well." 

"No sleeping here, now ill be up worrying until i hear of your victory. Guess i could go rally the troops to march there. My troops being Millie, Vicky, Max, Izzy, Santos and myself." 

"Bruce you better not! I don't need anyone else worrying about me much less telling me how stupid i am for challenging a beta. Please keep this between us until you hear the results okay?"

"Fine, as you command princess, i will only keep this until breakfast here then its a free draw." 

Groaning with my face in my hands as the knocks on my door became more persistent "Bruce i have to go, i have thirty minuets left to prepare and need to speak to the angry hoard of family outside. Thank you for your advice."

"Anytime princess" with the last word he hung up the phone. I quickly changed from my dress to sweat pants, sports bra and a workout tank top pulling my hair into a tight messy bun. I opened the door to find my panicked mother, sister and Gezara already hounding me with questions and a few insults.

"Mom, Soph, Gez, stop. I know what i am doing, dad was fine with the plan as well and i have to do this. It is not just about me, this is about all of the women who have ever been a victim and to show i can be the Alpha Queen not just a Luna." I said in a confident yet exhausted voice, i was already stressed enough without this extra. I needed a breather so i went to the window and watched the waves dance in the moonlight, wishing my life was as simple as waves in the ocean.

My mother had turned her glare and words laced with venom to my father her stared at me. "Samuel how dare you put these ideas in our daughters head! She is risking her life and not only that how could you not tell me that leech attacked our daughter! What kind of father allows him to walk around freely after he knew! You Asshole!" 

My mother was silenced when my father caught her wrist mid air on its way to slap him. "Serena, you know me better than that, i would never put our daughters in danger. I found out and Sarah asked me for the opportunity to stand up for herself, i couldn't take that from her. If i had handled the situation she would forever feel like the victim. She needs this to free herself, and i support her decision even though i hate to stand by and watch. You should feel overwhelmed with pride at her decision to stand up for herself and protect her sister as i would. That is what being an Alpha is about." 

Stunned is the only word i could put into the face and quietness of my mother. She has never been the silent type unless mad and she is not silently fuming. I decided to speak up as i walked over to her hugging her tight "Mom, you taught me to always fight for those who can't fight for themselves. I am doing what you brought me up learning i am realizing that i am more that just a pretty face . Mom thank you and i will make you proud, i wont get hurt i promise."

She hugged me tighter and nuzzled my cheek "My baby, your all grown up now, i respect your decision and support you with everything i have. Go castrate this animal." I laughed at her response and let her go turning to give Sophie a hug and kiss her cheek. She hugged me tight enough i had to cough a bit" Sarah you crazy big trouble maker, i love you so frigging much." 

I smiled and let her go turning for the door it was time to go downstairs for the challenge. Gezara caught my arm as i went by and pulled me into a hug. She whispered in my ear "Sar do not get to cocky at earning a few strikes at him, he will use those against you after he allows them. He will treat you as a toy and try to kill you at the first chance he can." She kissed my cheek and wiped tears from her eyes" Good luck my sister".

Nodding i turned and followed the guards down the hall and out the doors to the challenge arena. The arena was a rounded concrete circle with rails along the side and multiple cages full of weapons. I wasn't sure the stipulations of the challenge and felt a little nervous thinking that we were able to use weapons or even how we were to fight. My confusion was cut short at Alpha Roger spoke to the crowd gathered in the seating area surrounding the arena circle.

"Shadow Wolves, it is my greatest pleasure to introduce our challengers for tonight. Our very own Beta Evans will fight Princess Sarah Ellingford of the Ice Wolves pack for dominance and the right to keep his position."

The crowd roared so loud the stadium began to shake and the benches along the walls to rattle. Turning my attention to the alpha himself, Evans was standing next to him with a smug grin as he addressed the crowd" fellow wolves i will keep my position and also show our fierce dominance with strength." stepping down towards the arena he made a wink in my direction. 

Internally gagging and rolling my eyes i stepped up  next to the alpha to address the crowd "Hello, i welcome you all to witness the victim becoming a victor and proving no one is above justice." The crowd went silent as they all stared in question looking from one to another. Ignoring my comments Alpha Rogers rang out "let the challenge begin, wolves to your starting places on each side of the arena. Winner will be by submission, rules are no weapons but you may switch form wolf form to human at anytime. If there are no objections we will begin on my mark in three...two..one"

We circle one another searching for weaknesses of course i faked a weak ankle hoping he would take the bait. I new i would have to fight with everything i had to beat this fool. When he came at me striking out toward my fake ankle, i knew i had him i back handed him across the face as his leg came out. He snapped to the side at the force growling at me, he was on top of me before i could blink choking me. I knew he would use his strength against me so i used my agility and swung my legs up and around his waist slamming his back against the ground hard enough he gasp for breath. 

He twisted my hair around his hand and jerked my head to the side whispering in my ear" i like this position, keep up the foreplay puppet I'm getting more excited by the minute." This infuriated me and i bit into his shoulder with my human teeth feeling his skin tear as he shoved me away.I took the opportunity to roundhouse kick him in the chest as he was momentarily distracted by the torn shoulder only for him to catch my leg and slam me against the dirt. i hit with an 'oof' the breath knocked from me as he stalked toward me he punched me in the stomach and then my chest as i felt a rib break, i cried out in pain. He smiled evilly at me as he used his hand to squeeze my throat growling for me to submit. 

" Never" i gritted thorough my teeth as i delivered a hard knee to his genitals. He let go and hunched down were i again used my knee to break his nose.the crunch gave me a satisfying glint and Sadie purred as i began to half shift using my claws to wrap around his throat and the other slashing at his chest. He transformed to wolf completely and tackled me snapping at my throat so i transformed to match his strength. we hit the ground snarling and biting, blood was everywhere and i couldn't tell where mine began and his ended. 

i latched onto his shoulder tearing the meat away and spitting it on the ground and he lounged at my throat again i dodged left by rolling. He lounged again and i met him head on, his wolf overpowered me and i fell against he ground only holding him back by his chest with my paws. He bit and scratched at me as he continued after my throat. Using the last amount of strength Sadie and i had combined i clawed at his genitals with my back legs feeling the hot blood rush down over me as i shoved him off.   He sat up into a kneeling position breathing heavily he was now in human form covering himself and screaming profanities.

 We smiled as i realized we actually castrated the bastard. My father came over draping a blanket over my wolf telling me to shift, i obeyed and became human again. Tightening the blanket over me i strolled over to beta Evans battered bloody form " Do you yield Evans or do you want more?" i joked as i pushed him over from his kneeling position. 

He reached out for me and my father stepped in slapping his hand away as he gripped his throat "My daughter showed mercy to you, you will do well to accept it or do i need to kill you?" He growled into Evans face. Alpha Roger placed his hands on my fathers arm "Alpha king Samuel i will take it from here." Father let him go and came over to me wrapping his arms around me "You did well my troublemaker, you showed him whose the alpha" I chucked and hugged him back. 

Alpha Roger spoke loudly again"Beta Evans do you Submit to defeat?" 

"Not to that tramp i don't, she deserved what i did and next time ill kill her" He growled out still holding his missing balls. Roger looked at him confused as he looked toward me raising his eyebrow in silent question.

 I cleared my throat ready to answer " a few nights ago, i was walking the beach and i wondered to far from the palace. Upon my realization i turned and sprinted back and in doing so i ran into a male on the beach." Breathing a heavy sigh i continued " I realized the man to be Beta Evans once i was clear on the identity however he attempted to kiss me. He told me how he thought i wanted him and would take what was.  Then he grabbed me by the throat, i pushed him away only for him to tighten his grip on me. When he proceeded to put his tongue in my mouth i bit down on it causing him to push me down and spit blood on the sand. I ran towards the castle screaming and mind linked my father for help. I was tackled into the ocean where Beta Evans attempted to drown me, he let me go before i passed out and told me if i tell anyone he would hurt my sister. He would have killed me if my father and the others wouldn't have shown up, simply because he wanted me and i rejected him. I have kept quiet until now and i decided to take my justice in a public challenge to expose the truth." I glared at Beta Evans now he was standing next to his alpha growling.

Alpha Roger turned his attention to his beta " Is this true? you sexually assaulted a visiting princess on our pack lands and tried to murder her as well?" he spoke with a chill that even i didn't want to look him in the eyes. "yes, she wanted me, she just likes it rough. Isin't that right puppet?" I shook my head no and growled " You lying jackal no one wants to be r***d!" 

Two young girls stepped into the arena from the crowd holding hands as they came up to me. "Princess Sarah?" i looked down at her and smiled "yes sweetheart"? i cooed as her hands began to shake and her eyes filled with tears. "We have been r***d, by our father for the last four years and he also murdered our mother when she tried to stop him."

You could have heard a pin drop at the silence as i stared at the two barely 16 year old girls. "Who is your father?" they only pointed to the Alpha and Betas direction as they lowered there eyes. I turned my fire on them as i pushed away from my father and stomped over to them. Before i could get there Luna Regina stepped forward and grabbed Beta Evans by the Face as she spoke in no doubt her wolves voice." Tell me the truth you lying piece of wolf! Have you been r****g your daughters? Did you kill my best friend? You told us she died in a shark attack at the beach!" 

Her face was red and her tears were spilling down her cheeks, Roger took her in his arms as she started to sob. I could't hold back my rage as Sadie and i came together half shift ripping into Beta Evans, i tore his sternum into reaching in and pulling his heart from his cage. From his now limp body i took the heart handing it to Alpha Rogers "I have started the cleansing of filth from your pack, you would do well by your people to finish it." 

Turning away from him i  handed the girls what used to be Beta Evans testicles,i had scooped up from the ground one for each girl as i tore it in two. They held their hands out as i dropped them. "Now he will never hurt you girls again, you were both very brave to tell your story." i put my bloody hands on their cheeks as i spoke again " Never be a victim again, be the victor, you are stronger than you think" The girls nodded there heads and turned away tears in there eyes as they hugged one another.

I hugged my family as the multiple praises were heard from the crowd and we walked to the plane ready to get the hell out of the shadows.
