Chapter 31-Golden Party

Stretching out in the bed i realized for the first time in a while i was not being poked, shook or disturbed at all. I peeked one eye open then the other looking around my brightened room, I was indeed alone. Sitting up slowly i reached over to check the time on my phone and it was half past eleven in the morning! I haven't slept this late in forever, my stomach started to growl signaling i missed breakfast.

 I reluctantly pulled the covers away and placed my feet on the cold marble floor. My phone buzzed before i could make it to the dresser so i laid back across the bed on my stomach to see who was calling me. "Doll, how are you?" I smiled at my nickname and butterflies erupted in my stomach. 

"I actually just woke up, guess i needed the extra beauty sleep since i was not disturbed for once." I was so happy to hear his voice so i continued "Happy Birthday! How old are you now 43 or 44?" I laughed as i heard him snort. 

"Now doll you know i am not a day over 18, plus i know you like the older ones but you'll enjoy me since i've  the stamina of a racehorse!" He proudly stated as i heard a door closing on the other end. 

I couldn't help laughing at him, this guy always meant things sexually to me but in a funny flirty way. "Oh Max, you may be young and have the stamina but i believe you have to much experience for my taste. I like them older because they are well seasoned and educated to take their time. It's not about the race, its about the journey to get there." i cooed to him. 

It was his turn to laugh "Sarah, i am speechless and that doesn't happen often. You win this round doll, but next time ill be prepared to stun you with my wit." I only snorted at him as we continued our banter for another few minutes on each others wits. 

"Max, i'm sorry ill miss your birthday. I wish i would be there with everything in me, tonight i will look at the moon as soon as it is high in the sky. Will you look too and pretend we are together? I am really homesick, i have you as my home screen so you are always with me." i almost whined into the phone as i spoke. 

I heard him sigh as he replied "Doll, i'm looking at the sun now pretending to wake up in your bed with you in the light. To wrap you tight in my arms as you get up and pull you back to play away the rest of the day together. Thank you for the birthday wishes, the best birthday would be if i could spend it with you. I feel like i love you more every day, i miss you." 

I blushed and smiled at his words not noticing Sophia coming to the bedside until she jumped on the bed. "Sarah, are you finally awake? Who you talking to? Momma said i couldn't wake you until noon." I turned and smiled at her as i held the phone a little away from my mouth. "Well i will thank mom later, i am talking to Max right now." 

She giggled and made kissey faces at me as she said "OOoo is that your boyfriend! Are you going to marry him?" Her playfulness turned serious so fast it made me search for an answer to her question. "Max i will call you later, i hope you have a great day. I will be thinking about you all day." 

"Okay doll, tell the banshee i said hello and ill talk to you soon. Bye i love you." 

"I love you to Birthday boy! bye." 

I hung up the phone smiling like a love sick fool until i seen the look on my parents face. My father was scowling and my mother was covering her mouth hiding her smile that her eyes gave away. I shrugged and gave a cheesy grin as i stared back at them.

"No sense hiding what you already know daddy. Besides Max is the best choice for our realm anyway, i think everyone would agree plus he has his training as beta and i know he would allow me to lead. Can we just call off this silly Alpha Game and bless our union instead?"

My father growled as he replied "No, Sarah had he been the best choice i would have never suggested the alpha games in the first place. You deserve an Alpha of pure blood and strength not a beta who cannot keep his attention on one female at a time!" Ouch i though as i hung my head, i know i should defend Max but part of the accusation was true.

"You are wrong daddy, Max may not be the strongest wolf but he is loyal and he loves me! He doesn't want the crown and title like the rest of these greedy self centered males!" I couldn't help but raise my voice at him. Sadie was growling at me for sticking up for max, her view is he has a mate and so do we but that he was not good enough for us. 

"Sarah, you disappoint me." At that my father slammed the door and walked out.  I sat there staring at the door with my mouth hung open and tears pricking my eyes. Mom came over and hugged me tight along with Sophie as is cried into her shoulder. 

"Sarah, honey you know he didn't mean that, your father is just stressed. He wants what is best for you and he thinks this is the right thing to do." My mother tried to soothe me as she rubbed my back. I nodded into her shoulder as my tears began to slowly dry. 

"Lets get you refreshed and get lunch, we have the rest of the day at the spa then we will get ready for the party tonight." Mom patted my arm as helped me to the sink and washed my face. I felt like a child being taken care of this way, part of me wished i was young again so this wouldn't be so hard. 

After mom had left with Sophie to get Gezara for the spa i looked at myself in the mirror. Staring, my green eyes stared back as a soft glow showing Sadie was looking at me as well. 'SARAH, DAD LOVES US VERY MUCH, MOM IS RIGHT HE DOES WANT WHAT IS BEST FOR HIS PUP. MAX IS A STRONG WOLF BUT HE IS NOT OURS, WE HAVE A MATE TOO JUST LIKE HE DOES. WE DESERVE TO LET HIM HAVE HIS AND US OURS, THIS IS THE WAY THE MOON AND DESTINY DESIGNS US.'

 I groaned and rolled my eyes.' I know that Sadie, but how do i break my own heart, i love Max. He tells me he loves me too, there is also a reason we have the rejection option.' 

Sadie growled low and long 'WE WILL NOT REJECT OUR MATE! THEY ARE OURS AND I WILL NOT ALLOW IT' 

Great i thought to myself as i turned and put on my skinny jeans and pink blouse for the spa with my nude sandals. 

Meeting Lissa at the spa was refreshing, the lavender and eucalyptus oils had me feeling light and happy. Slipping off my robe and stepping into what they call a milk bath"Ya'll i feel like a cookie!" A wolf whistle from Lissa and she commented " Oh yeah? whose the lucky wolf to eat it?" 

We all laughed shaking our heads, i really was enjoying my day now. We spent another three hours or so in the spa with pedicures, manicures and our hair. I called Millie when we left to wish her a happy birthday and let her know how much i missed her. She returned my love and missing telling me she couldn't wait to see me. 

Once we arrived back at the villa Lissa excused herself to make sure the final preparations for the party were ready. She informed us that our dresses had been delivered to my room as requested and as she said her goodbyes she winked my direction. I laughed at her as we made our way to the room to get ready. 

Looking at myself in the mirror i realized why Lissa had winked at me. My dress was golden glitter fabric. There was a split clean up to my waist along with a plunging neckline that showed almost to my stomach. The dress was so tight i was scared to move but i had to compliment Thalissa, i looked fantastic. If i wore this all the time i am positive i would have so many hearts after me i couldn't keep up. 

Stepping into the room my mother, Gezara and Sophia all gasped and wore the same expression. Sophie spoke first" Wow Sar, i think if i was a boy i would be in love."  I laughed at her as i shook my head. 

My mother came close taking my elbows in her hands as she stared at me "Your father will have a fit but i think i love this. I believe you should wear this to the Alpha Games ceremony, i think i will have you one made of every color so that for the whole week you can look this amazing." She walked out of the room pulling out her phone as she closed the door. 

"You do look fantastic, even is that fiery Bulgarian was bat s**t crazy she has a stunning eye for design." Gezara was smiling at me and shaking her head . I stepped forward taking her hand "Well enough about me, you look amazing too, that silver mermaid style dress with open back and strapless shoulder is beautiful. We are like Christmas ornaments of silver and gold!" 

" Hey what a bout me? Don't i look beautiful too?!" Sophie huffed placing her hands on her hips. I snorted as i leaned down taking her cheek in my palm "You are more that beautiful soph, you are the angel on the top of the tree." 

Her frown turned into a thousand watt smile as she jumped up and down excitedly. "I knew i was the angel in this sisterhood! " She ran out of the room so quick i couldn't even retort. 

Making our way down to the party we all took our time cascading down the steps so we didn't fall and roll down them. Lissa had decided we needed 6 inch stilettos and i was not a fan of that. Once i was at the bottom, to my surprise Teo took my hand placing it over his arm as he guided us to the waiting car.  The Party was going to be at he Convention center beside the pack house. 

The short ride there was difficult since when i sat i had to pull my dress around me like a blanket to hide my assets from the others. This dress was too short standing much less sitting down. "You look beautiful Princess Sarah, don't worry about not attracting attention. You will be the spotlight in that dress." Theo nudged my arm as he helped me out of the car. I slapped his shoulder in reply. 

"Its wonderful to see you two getting along so well, Sarah you look magnificent". Lissa had slipped in out of nowhere and caught our little play fest. I smiled at her and ruffled Theo's hair which he growled and leaned down to fix it in the side view mirror. 

"Yes well i told you i would whip them in shape and i think my work here is done." I curtsied to her as i swatted Theo on the butt, he growled again and left us. 

She laughed too as she pulled me by the hand in Theo's direction into the ballroom. Once inside i was in awe again. Everything seemed to be silver and white with small golden accents on every table. The chandeliers where even silver with bright crystal lights hanging from them, i seemed to be the center of attention as well. Great i thought just what i need are more eyes on me. 

When Alpha King Tialo made his way over, taking my hand and kissing it "You are the most beautiful she wolf here. My sons will be blessed to measure up to the wolf you deserve." 

Before i could reply a growl was heard and a throat cleared as i yanked my hand from him. Lissa stood next to her her sons as she glared at her mate and the twins continued there little warning. Tailo seemed amused by their little show of aggression and gave me a curt nod as he walked away to mingle with others.

 "Are you alright, i should not have left you alone. That horny-toad is always on to the freshest meat. Please take no offense to him." Theo rubbed my arm as Lissa gave me a sad smile turning away to the crowd. 

"I don't know how your mother does it. She is a strong women for sure, i don't think i could control myself to not castrate my mate if he dared look at another." I all but growled as the twins each took my hand wrapping it against there arms as Teo spoke "Yes well, we already know that you aren't all talk. However lets refrain from those threats before we all become traitors." I sighed knowing he was right, we had eyes and ears everywhere here. 

The twins took turns as my guards for the rest of the evening as we danced, laughed and drank. We ate as much as we could and continued or dancing. Gezara was our fourth which gave us an even number to switch out when dancing so we didn't have to let anyone else in. We laughed until our cheeks hurt along with our feet, which reminded me why i don't prefer heels.  I hadn't seen my father much that night and it hurt to think about the last words he spoke to me. 

I brushed that feeling away as the music died down and the twins signaled it was time to go. I reluctantly pulled away with Gezara almost drooling on me. She was sleeping it seems so Theo picked her up carrying her bridal style to my room once we got back to the villa.

 "Princess would you like us to stay with you tonight?" I arched my brow at Teo as i replied "Look i don't know what you heard but i am a virgin and plan to keep it that way so no thank you." 

He and Theo shared a look and burst into laughter. Gezara never stirred from the bed as their laughter got louder as they held their ribs on the floor. I growled feeling insulted, Theo sat up wiping his eyes as he said "No not that way princess. We meant as stay as sleep on the couches, we share our mate anyways and i don't believe you are ready for that!" Teo smiled as he arched his brow at his brother. 

I snarled "Oh yeah! i can definitely handle both of you! it is you that cannot handle me! " i stomped my way to the bathroom to change and clean up as he called out "If you would like to test the theory we are all bite no bark!" i slammed the door and locked it as they laughed. 

Stupid males and there egos, common sense is a flower that doesn't grow in everyone's garden for sure. I laughed at my own thoughts brushing my teeth. Finishing my business i pulled on Max's t-shirt and a pair of shorts, opening the door i heard light snores all around. Focusing my eyes i saw the twins, one on each couch Teo was face down with Blue boxers and Theo was on his back with black boxers. I shook my head and climbed into bed next to Gezara, i shook her "Gez go brush your teeth and change, you cant sleep in a dress." She groaned and swatted at my hand as i shook her again. 

She groaned again and got up stumbling into the bathroom i heard the sink turn on. I sighed happily as i rolled over grabbing my phone and sending out Max and Millie another Birthday wish. When Gezara returned she climbed in beside and me smiling as she pointed to the twins. "I have to say, i do quite enjoy being your sister now, if i get to see half naked males as often as this." We laughed and said our goodnight falling asleep shortly after to the light snores of the twins.
