ARIA My eyes widened in surprise as those words escape his lips. My heart almost skipped a beat. I held my hands close to my chest and my mouth agaped as I slowly exhale. Never did I think I would have to go through this again. Perhaps Jordan should have just allowed me kill myself back then in the woods!! I paused and gave him a dead stare. “Marriage?” I smirked. “You mean I should get married to the Alpha of your pack?” I blurted out in shock. This can't be happening. Would I allow fate mock my reality once more? There is no way I am going to accept this, “Jordan, I can't just get married to anyone. Why would you approach me with such a tough request?” I uttered with a fixed gaze. “I know, Aria, but you know I would never wish bad on you. You are my bosom friend and we have grown fond of each other ever since I rescued you from the harsh nature of the woods….” “I promise you, you won't regret this,” those reassuring words escape from his lips once more. “Everything you want will be given to you. I just need you to be his bride and mate,” he added. For a minute, I thought about what I had gone through in Darkhowl pack and a tear dropped from my left eye. “If I do this, what do I stand to gain? I don't even know who your Alpha is….it only seems to me like you are selling me out, Jordan,” I said in a pitiful tone. My wolf shrieked from within. “Not at all, Aria. This is the only way I can redeem myself. Please help me. The minute I get my bearing, I would help and your child to anywhere else you would love to be, I promise,” he uttered aloud. I smirked. Even though whatever he said sounded too good to be true, I knew I had to repay his kind act towards me. “We owe him,” I whispered to my wolf. “No, we don't. How do we know he is not setting us up for another trouble worse than Darkhowl?” My wolf responded. I shut out the mind link and gave a quick nod…”I'd do it for you, my friend,” I said to him. “But my child….” I interrupted before he could say a word. “I will take care of him. Do not worry. No harm will come near him,” he said. I let out a heavy sigh. My wolf followed suit. The smile that emanated from Jordan's lips. It was as though I had just made all of his dreams come true. “What do I have to lose?” I pondered deeply in thought. After all, I am without a pack. The ones I call my own are the very ones that reject me and drive me to a state of desolation. The shame. The disgrace. The bully I had to face amidst the very wolves who are meant to be my closest family. I sobbed quietly as I nod my head once more..”I'd do it.” ***** My eyes rolled and darted around as a group of wolves appeared the scene. Jordan didn't hesitate to inform his people of the new development. I stood with my hands folded right beneath my belly as I anticipated the arrival of the man who I was to get married to. “He will be here soon..Don't forget all we discussed, Aria. I am going to keep to my every word and promise to you,” Jordan whispered to my ears from my behind. I stared once more at the floral gown Jordan had me dressed in, “I wonder from whose closet he got these,” I muttered to myself. And while I stood, shyishly staring at the unfamiliar faces that hung around…before I knew what was happening, an utmost silence raided the whole place. “The Alpha is here,” I heard a voice from behind mutter out loudly. I blinked. I raised my heads up slightly to see who It was and to my surprise, it was him, the wolf in sheep's clothing, Stefan appearing before me. “Wait, what???” “Is he the Alpha, Jordan wants me to get married to?” I smirked. I could see the surprise on Stefan's face when he sets his eyes on me also. Beside him, was Cherry, the useless Beta, who almost choked my lungs out back in the pack. She hurriedly walk towards me, her face glowing like she was happy to see me.. Surely, a show for the crowd. “Aria, is this really you?” “Wow, destiny must really be messing with you now and then,” she commented. As angry as I was towards her, she was making absolute sense. I had become a laughingstock even to my own reality. I never spoke a word. I kept a straight face and stance as she spoke harshly to me whilst disguising to be happy. “I actually thought you were long gone dead after the news came to me that you had fled the pack,” she spoke further. “But you know its a good thing you are still alive. Maybe Stefan would finally see again that you really are some unfortunate thing ever created!” “I won't be surprised if he rejects you once again, hahahaha,” she whispered to my ears and walked away to join the other standing for the wedding procession. Without further hesitation, I turned and signaled to Jordan who was already wearing a wide grin in his tailored outfit. “I am not doing this!!!” I whispered out. Over my dead body will I get married to that user!! I won't allow the same thing happen again. Instead, I would do it first. “What are you saying. Aria? Do you want to put me in trouble?” Jordan muttered. “That man right there is my half brother and the only way I can restore my honor within the pack is to get him a bride. If you don't do this, I would be castaway…” “Dont forget I have something of yours with me too….and you know what that means…” he rolled his eyes at me. “What are you insinuating?” Is that a threat or a plea?
