This morning I took my bath, dressed and went into the kitchen to get something to eat for breakfast.Yesterday on my way home my car broke down. It's at the mechanics shop.

I entered the elevator and pressed to the first floor. I lived on the sixth floor.I heard a ping and got out of the elevator.

"Mr Frederick, how are you doing". I greeted the doorman on my way out.He was an old man in his sixties.His grandchildren were lovely little girls and sometimes, when I went shopping, bought them a gift.

I hailed a cab but immediately felt dizzy.

"Hello, where to?". That was all I heard before black consumed me.

Beep,Beep,Beep was what I heard but my eyes were closed. I opened them and saw in my left hand a needle attached to my flesh with a white liquid flowing through it. I immediately panicked and saw that I was in a hospital with my clothes changed to a hospital gown.

The door opened and a nurse entered my room.

"Hello miss, I see you are awake" she said.

"Please, who brought me here"."A cab driver who claimed you fainted in his car".

" Oh okay". I then remembered me fainting in his car.

I am sure I gave him quite a scare".

"Please is he still around?". I asked.

"No, he left immediately he brought you in".

"Thank you". "I came to check your vitals and saw you awake"." OK".

I immediately panicked when I remembered I had work. s**t, I checked the time and it was 12am.

"Can I please leave now?" ."Yes, after the doctor has given you your report".

Which report I asked myself. I hope I will not be diagnosed with an incurable disease and I am still young, and have not even had kids yet.

I was now left alone with myself thinking about all the possible outcomes of the test. It was now over thirty minutes without any trace of a doctor. The moment I was about to press the buzzer on my bed, the door opened and in walked a doctor in his early thirties.

"Hello Ms Andrea, I hope you are feeling well".

"Yes I am fine" thank you".

" Thats good to hear ".

"We took a lot of tests in order to know what's wrong with you."But everything seems fine with you and your baby".

"What did I just hear him say".

" No doctor, I do not think I am pregnant, so I think there is a problem with the test result".

"No Ms Andrea, we always run the test twice to make sure there are no wrong diagnostics given to our patients".

"CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE ONE AND A HALF WEEK PREGNANT".

Then it dawned on me that today is a week and half since I slept with Arson".I stayed rooted in bed looking at the test result in the doctors hand.

No, it can not be possible he has a fiancee and is about to start his own family.Tears rolled from my eyes and I did not actually care if there was someone in the room and also, if that person was in my shoes, he or she would probably have done the same.

"Ms Andrea, are you okay? You do not look well and that is not good for the baby".

"Yes, I am fine. Thank you".I replied while I cleaned my face.

" OK, this is your test result and your gynecologist would be here to brief you on a few things and also prescribe some vitamins for you to help with the growth of your baby and also help minimize your morning sickness".

"Thank you very much". and he left.

A whole lot ran through my mind the moment he left the room about why this should happen to me in the first place. But one thing I know for sure is that I was going to show this little munchkin all the love he deserves in this world.

I snapped out of my thoughts when a woman in her early fifties walked through the door."Congratulations Ms Andrea".

"Thank you" i replied.

"I will be your doctor throughout the end of your pregnancy.These are vitamins which should be taken, one in the morning and another in the evening after meals. OK, see you in a months' time.

"Oh and before I forget you can come in if you have any questions or problems requiring your pregnancy".,then she left.

I changed into my clothes, placed the vitamins in my bag and walked out of the hospital.On my way to the office I was thinking of what to tell Mr Arson, since it was now two in the afternoon and I hoped I didn't get fired, since I had a responsibility on the way.

The cab parked in front of Santos and Co and I got out, entered the elevator and waited anxiously till I got out.

"Oh Andrea, here you are. I have been calling you since 9am to tell you that you could rest at home for today because Mr Santos had to fly out of the country".

"Does he know I did not come to work" I asked Stacy.

"No, he left around 7:30"."And he also told me to tell you not to come to work today and he would personally email you by the end of the day to tell you if you should come to work tomorrow or not."I instantly felt relieved".

"Thank you Stacy".

"You are welcome".

I walked out of the building and took a taxi to the mechanics' shop to get my car. In an hour's time. I was at home and decided to go through the company's email and reply to messages in which I saw a message from an unknown number on w******p.

I will not get back to America in four days' time, so you can rest at home and send me any files I would ask for. -Your boss.

How did he get my number? But I remembered he is the boss, so he can get anyone's number from our portfolios. I was so happy that I got four days to myself and also rest within these four days since I have been stressed lately and it is not good for my munchkin.

I placed my hand on my stomach and said Mommy loves you little munchkin.

Tomorrow I will go to the pet shop to get the puppy I wanted, since I will be all alone. I was supposed to go this Saturday but this good news came. Today is a Tuesday. That means I will be returning to work on Monday.

These last few weeks I have only been eating junk food and now I am pregnant, so I need to eat healthy food for the growth of my baby.

I got dressed in something comfy, took my car keys and left for the nearest supermarket.I pulled up the trolley and went to the food section, picked up some pasta,onions,canned tomatoes and the list went on and on.

Outside the supermarket, I saw a woman heavily pregnant and I must say her stomach looked so huge, so I was definitely sure her due date was probably a few weeks from now, with her husband by her side holding the grocery bags. I felt my heart shatter right at the scene.

I got home and arranged the things I bought in the cabinet and decided to make pasta with chicken sauce. After my meal, I took the pre-natal vitamins and headed to bed.

Thirteen hours later. I felt the sun's rays seep into my room and knew it was time to get up from bed. I looked at the clock on the nightstand and it read 8:30 am. I did my laundry and put up a little bed for my puppy in my room to sleep on.

At one o'clock, I left my apartment and drove to the pet shop.All the puppies seemed nice and I found it hard to choose any. A lot of people were there today. As I turned, my eyes caught a black furry puppy in the corner all alone and I knew on the spot that was what I wanted.

" Hello Ms, can I get that puppy in the corner".Ok". They placed it in a small metal cage and handed it over to me."Thank you". Then I went out.

We got to my apartment. I set him free from the cage and he started to lick my legs.

 I guess you are all lovely, aren't you? You just do not like crowds too much. After my words, he immediately barked.I picked him up and sent him to the kitchen and placed him on the chair while I made his food.

He ate everything and started wagling his tail.You sure are a happy puppy.I picked him up and sent it to its bed, but immediately went off and came to lie beside me on the bed. I guess you want to lie beside me, okay then?

At my next meeting with Carol and Kathy I would let them meet Oliver. Yes, that is his name and I would also tell them I'm expecting, so they will become godmothers.
