Alex opened his eyes groggily. He blinked a few times until his watch came into focus, then realised he"d overslept, the first time in years. He often didn"t bother with an alarm as he normally woke up early without any assistance. Today, he"d meant to set one to ensure he was ready with plenty of time to spare so he could be in the office to prepare for court. Coming home so late and tired, he"d completely forgotten.
