Fiona’s POV
Everything felt eerie, almost like there was something going wrong in the palace. I woke up startled and unable to get back to sleep. The maids that came into my room seemed hasty to leave and it made me wonder if something bad had really happened. Isla opened the door the minute I got out of bed.
“Why do you look sad?” I asked adjusting my heavy butt.
She blew raspberry. “I can’t seem to understand everything happening in the palace. It’s obvious that all of them are trying so hard to jeopardise the Alpha’s reputation.”
My heart raced at her words. “What is going on? How is Ronan?”
“The Alpha is fine, you don’t have to worry about him. But one of the elders was found dead this morning. To think we were all just still talking about the drama between the king and queen
