Cheryl “I’m sure he’s going to call me,” I said, pouting at Chris and Anna. Chris sighed, arms crossed, already tired of my stalling. “Cheryl, we’re never going to leave if we keep waiting for him.” “Just ten more minutes?” I pleaded, turning to Anna for backup.
