Cheryl We arrived at Tonyhan, the sprawling, glass-walled building I had missed so much. It stood tall and gleaming, just as I remembered, a beacon of familiarity that made my heart race with anticipation. I didn’t wait for Chris to open the door. I barely registered his presence. I jumped out of the car, my legs moving on their own as I sprinted through the front doors, my footsteps echoing through the marble lobby. I flew past the reception desk, ignoring the curious glances from the staff, and slammed my hand against the elevator button. Come on. Come on. The elevator doors opened, and I stepped inside, my heart hammering in my chest. Excitement coursed through my veins, bubbling over as I leaned against the wall, trying to catch my breath.
