6.Jamie had gone over in the afternoon to interview the firemen at Engine Company 1. The same bunch who’d been on duty during the last warehouse fire over in China Basin. This shift of firefighters all had the same days off as his dad, and as it turned out had fought all of the recent three fires on the very first day after their Kellys, too.
