There was a line of eager people waiting to get into the bar. We passed all of them and went straight to the entrance. The guard at the door threw us a dark look and stepped in front of us like a wall, blocking the way in.
Before he could tell us to wait at the end of the line, I pulled out the card and showed it to him.

He snatched it from my hand and studied it with interest. A malicious smile came to life on his face.
