The forest seemed endless as I plunged deeper and deeper into the dense woods.
The trees passed like blurs around me. I could barely distinguish branches from shadows. Adrenaline pulsed through my veins, but I knew I couldn’t stop.
I needed to find a way out, some way to escape that bloody nightmare alive. Yet with every passing second, I felt his presence drawing closer, as if he could sense my fear and savor it.
