Solving the problem took longer than I thought it would.
I had to travel to negotiate in person a few deals that would put people at ease, and I would back them up. So setting foot in Palermo was a lot harder than I thought it would be because the old man had armored his city so well. It was like trying to enter a damn fortress, to the point that I realized how well oiled the cover and support system were with all the agencies.
I had to wait for a damn yacht to sneak past a boat in a port in Catania, pass a fruit truck and then get to a secure residence in Palermo. Somehow everyone was on alert for what they had discovered, they were on the lookout and surely wanted to get their hands on some of my men.
They would never imagine that I was on their turf.
