September 5th, 2017 Peters and Sons' Building The elevator doors rang open and I didn't waste time storming out and onto the floor. Just around the corner sat the sectary's desk and I knew Trisha sat behind it, flipping her fake blonde hair over her shoulder and typing away at her keyboard with her overly decorated nails. I hated the sound they made when they tapped the keys. Her perfectly painted face came into view as I came upon her desk. She smiled sweetly up at the man in front of her. I had no problem interrupting her conversation. "I know that was you outside my house last night, Trisha! Next time you want to stalk my husband don't leave evidence!" I tossed a tube of lipstick at her. It was the same lipstick she was always applying to her Kardashian style lips every time she got ready to visit Gregory in his office. She always had that thing on her. It was like her life line. Suspiciously enough, she wasn't wearing the same shade today. "I don't know what you're talking about, Nevaeh. I'm with a client but if you sit down I'll get to you as soon as I-" "Knock off the act, Trisha! My husband don't want your trashy ass!" I pushed a vase of flowers off her desk, letting it smash on the floor. Trisha's eyes grew wide but she stayed silent, her face a slight red with embarrassment. She walked around her desk and bent over to pick up the flowers. "My grandmother sent me these for graduating my bachelors degree." She sniffed and stood back up, setting the mangled roses back on the desk. She put on her fake puppy dog face and looked up at me with apologetic eyes. "Look, I'm sorry for whatever it is you think I did but I assure you I wasn't at your place last night. I was on a date with a very nice gentleman." She forced a weak smile. "What would Gregory think of you right now, throwing a temper tantrum at his work?" I balled my fist and hit her as hard as I could in the face. All my anger came out in that single hit and I felt her nose crack under my knuckles. She hit the floor and blood instantly pooled through her fingers. She became hysteric. On lookers came her to aid and Gregory's office door swung open. "Nevaeh!" His arms were around me and pulling me away from the pitiful sight. He dragged me into his office and closed us inside. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! I told you I would handle it!" "She clearly hasn't gotten the message from you!" This was the first time I saw Gregory this angry and I hated that it was at me. He should be angry with Trisha. "I have got to do things professionally around here or it's my ass on the line! You can't just walk in here and punch my employees in the face!" "She crossed a line last night, Gregory! You're just going to let her keep getting away with this s**t?" "No, Nevaeh!" He grabbed my shoulders and forced me to sit in the chair in front of his desk. He bent down on one knee and sighed loudly. "I've been talking to people higher up about getting her transferred out of here. If she was to know that then she could do something stupid like-" "Like punching someone in the face?" I started feeling embarrassed. I dropped my eyes to my hands and fought back the tears that burned at my eyes. He too dropped his head and laughed. "Yes, something stupid like that." He grabbed my chin and made me look up at him. "I love you, Nevaeh. I wouldn't let her harm you in any way. I want you comfortable and I can see you're not. Why don't you move in with me tomorrow? I know we settled on moving things in slowly but I think you'll be safer if we just got it over with." I smiled. The anger was replaced with an overwhelming amount of love and security. Nothing else mattered then but him. He made me feel so safe and happy. I was excited to spend the rest of my life with him. Our lips touched softly but in the most passionate way. "Oh, and I'll try to talk her out of pressing charges." We both laughed together.
