A steady beeping greeted Charlie as her consciousness returned. Her eyelids felt weighed down and the dagger of harsh fluorescent lights did little to convince them to open. The smell of wolf and disinfectant was soothing, allowing her to give a good guess at where she was. When she finally managed to open her eyes fully, it confirmed it. She was lying in a medical bed in a room that was too white for comfort, with the scent of familiar wolves dancing around her. It could only be the Red Moon pack hospital.
