As soon as Dex heard Marcus’ final words, his stomach twisted with concern. Not for the silvery haired Crescent Night wolf, but for his mate. Isla had been stood beside him during the meeting and stiffened whenever Alpha Victor’s name was mentioned. She would have many demons to face by returning to the Silver Claw pack, even if it was her home. He wanted to tell her to stay but knew she would not take kindly to that suggestion. Isla was first and foremost a warrior, and it was a warrior's duty to face whatever they needed to, to protect the pack.
