A stony silence filled the room, feeling harsher after the ranting and raving of Charlie’s explanation the moment before. Her father had given chase when she ran away from the training session, barking orders to the warriors, via mindlink, for Jay to be taken to the pack hospital whilst he sorted everything out. She was grateful and waited for him patiently in the living room, pacing back and forth as her mind was strewn with every thought she needed to say. His expression had remained carefully neutral as she explained everything, leaving out the more intimate details but Chris could read between the lines.
