We were in a little classroom that Lissa had wanted us to go to so that her and Adrian could work on their spirit abilities together and I had told Adrian that I would stay back in my dorm but he insisted that I go with so that he could show me a few things about spirit, him and Lissa were working on healing with plants today when I was asked an unexpected question by Christian. "So are you and Adrian dating now?" I stopped and looked at him for a moment before I answered him. "What if I am?" I asked indifferently. He shrugged and looked at me. "So, can you do anything cool?" I smiled at him. "You're a fire user right Christian?" I asked my smile growing wider when he began nodding his head. "Can you make me a flame?" I asked as Adrian and Lissa turned to see what we were talking about, Christian lifted his hand and produced a small flame, I smiled as I lifted my hand making the flame jump up in the air as I moved my hand and flung the flame in a near by trash bin setting it a blaze, Christian put it out but was to stunned to speak. Adrian came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist his voice full of pride. "That's my girl!" I laughed as he leaned down and kissed me. Lissa had the look of shock on her face when Adrian straightened. "I'm surprised," she started as she watched us. "It's only been less than a day and you guys are already cuddly, don't get me wrong I'm happy for you guys but I'm shocked." she said smiling, I blushed looking away as Rose and Dimitri walked in giving us a look of confusion then turning to Lissa. "Ready for lunch Liss?" she asked softly, Lissa nodded taking Christian's hand and walked out to the dinning hall Adrian and I following slowly as Adrian bombarded me with questions. "Where did you learn to direct fire?" I smiled as I answered. "I was at home and lighting candles and started moving my hand around the flame, within an hour or so the flame was following my hand, the back door was open so I threw the flame at the pool." He stared at me in awe as we sat down both he and Christian had their mouths wide open. I reached over and pushed Adrian's jaw up gently, breaking him out of his trance like state and wrapping his arm around my shoulder as I super sneaky ninja grabbed one of his french fries and nibbled on it listening to the conversations around me.
We laid in my bed snuggled close together, my head on Adrian's chest, his arms wrapped protectively around me as Adrian told me more about himself until I fell asleep against his chest. I dreamed of my deceased family that I never properly knew, the thing was that it felt more like a memory than anything. I remembered my older brother holding me in his arms as he spoke to my father and from the sound of his voice my brother was not happy. "She isn't even old enough to feed herself and you've already decided who she is going to marry?" baby Kiera snuggled closer to her brother in fear, he father sighed in exasperation. "Rafeal be reasonable this would make it so our family could be on the council with the rest of the royal families." Rafeal held his sister tighter mumbling now. ""An Ivashkov, Adrian Ivashkov? He's a spirit user,she could get hurt." baby Kiera giggled as Rafeal said the name. Her father walked out of the room frustrated. I woke up nuzzling Adrian's neck, did he know? Was that just a dream? I didn't know and frankly I didn't care.
(Authors Note:yes she is still a spirit user but she's just special Kiera can do everything both Lissa and Adrian can do and more.)
