Chapter 4

Amelia's POV This club was insane. I instantly regretted my decision of letting Trace talk me into this. There were too many people in this little confined space they called a club. People were jumping all over the place, women were dancing on men and men were making them bend in the touch your toes kind of position. I even saw one girl jump on a girl, and he humped her in midair. What the hell did Trace get me into? After getting bumped into repeatedly by the partying, drinking people, Trace and I headed to a table. We ordered some appetizers and a meal to get us started. Some boneless chicken with some sauce, and for the meal, she got a steak and I got a seafood platter with some steak strips. I told her the food was on me since she treated me out. She then made me swear that drinks were on her, so I wouldn't have to spend all my money. The music was great, I must even admit that. I could feel myself swaying in my seat here and there. Trace took some videos and something called a boomerang. Trace ordered us some shots, and it came before the food did. I picked up the tiny glass and wondered why they called it a shot. "Drink this as fast as possible! Don't even think about it. It might burn on the way down though!" She screamed and I shook my head rapidly. She did a three count, countdown and once she hit three, I chugged the drink just as she instructed me too. Instantly, I was coughing and she had to pat my back a lot. She was right. It did burn on the way down. I had to shake my head to myself back to reality for a second. She cheered me on for what she called my first drink. The wine was not as bad as what she had me drinking. I didn't know what to think after a while. As time was kicking in, the food finally arrived, with more drinks. I was happy about the food because I definitely was starving. Couldn't take no more of the drinking and not eating nonsense and plus, I kept thinking about how good the food was going to be when I finally got my hands on it. And I was correct! The shrimp was smothered in butter and garlic sauce, the lobster tail was juicy and well seasoned. Don't get me started on the crab legs that I had. The steak was perfectly well done and I was swimming in heaven while eating this food. I wanted to take some home so I ordered more to go. Trace and I kept taking shots after shots after shots. I could feel my body beginning to get hot and it was dancing to the beat of the music on its own. Trace was feeling it too because she kept screaming her head off. I wasn't where she was at but I def can tell in her head, she was in a blissful moment. We finally headed to the dance floor and danced around. People kept bumping into us, but at this point, I was feeling too good for it to bother me. Some men came up to us and danced with us and I danced with one of the gentlemen. He was cute and charming, I must add, but I could feel the bulging friend he brought along with him. It shocked me at first, and I could feel my body reacting to it. Normally, I would not, but I swear it had something to do with the drinks. We kept dancing and drinking, some guys were giving us drinks, but I noticed my body was not keeping up anymore. I started to sway, and my vision was not getting happy. My body felt like it was on fire at that point. Another round of shots came, and I looked over to Trace, who took the first glass and handed me the other one. I took the drink and chugged it and shook my head rapidly and went dancing back with one of the guys I had met so far. "Hey, you are a really good dancer, you know that?! Is this your first time here?!" He questioned in my ear. I couldn't even think of words to speak due to how my brain was feeling jumbled at the moment. I shook my head up and down and gave him two thumbs up and began to laugh as if someone had told me a hilarious joke. He chuckled at my reaction and leaned towards me. "Are you currently drunk?! Do you want to get out of here?!" He pulled me closer to him and I felt the bulge. Thankfully, it somewhat snapped me out of what the hell was happening to my brain. "No! No thank you! I am fine... right where I am with my friend!" "Well, that's too bad! I could have showed you a better time at my place!" "Well, maybe next time! Who knows, I should be back sometime soon!" "What do you mean? Are you leaving?!" "In a few! Can't stay here for too damn long!" "Well, let's get a shot in celebration of meeting each other! I am Jackson!" "Nice name! Sure I can do shots! Shots are a powerful thing!" The guy laughed at me and headed off to the bar. I kept dancing with a bounce in my step and one arm in the air. My body was still hot and I felt like I needed to drink something extremely cold. I didn't want to leave because the guy just said he was getting us some drinks, but I should get back to the table and get some water or something. I kept looking around and I didn't see him. I didn't even see Trace now that I thought about it. It finally dawned on me that I hadn't seen Trace since she went to dance with that pink-haired guy who came up behind her when this guy came up behind me. I rubbed my face with confusion and headed back to the table. I looked around and found out that my bag had fallen onto the floor. I crawled under the table and found my phone. I felt a headache coming along now that I was trying to get my brain to create thoughts in my head. This was harder than I thought. Everything is too scrambled right now. I checked my phone and shielded my eyes from the brightness on my phone. That was a hard strain on the eyes. It was three in the morning. How do people party for this long with no tiredness? Ugh, concentrace Amelia. Okay, I didn't get no messages. Missed calls from Maurice. Why would Maurice be calling me at a time like this? I would have to get back to him in the morning. I know he would freak out if I didn't get back to him. Maybe... maybe I should text back. "At... a strange club. A club called Club get away. Had multiple things called shots. Brain fuzzy. Text in the morning or when I can get a clear head." I hit the send button and sat back up in the chair. The guy who was with me came with one drink in each of his hands. How the hell did he find me in a sea of people? "Hey! There you are! I thought you ran off somewhere!" "I just wanted to see where my friend was! Are those the drinks?!" "Yeah! You did say you were going, right?!" "Yeah! That's why I came for my stuff! "Well, take this drink with me and I will walk you to the door!" He handed me a cup. The liquid was green compared to all the clear drinks I had been having all night. I tilted my head and looked over at the smiling face next to me. "No... maybe I shouldn't! I should just head home! I also still need to find my friend!" "Aw, you going to do me like that?! After I just paid for these special drinks?! Come on! One last drink shouldn't hurt too much, right?" I thought about it for a second. I looked up to the ceiling and then saw I had water next to me. Maybe that could calm down the drink and get me back to a bit of normal. I kept thinking and then looked over at the puppy dog eyes this man was giving me. I sighed and took the drink from him and chugged it peacefully. He chugged his at the same time and after he was finished he screamed. "Woah! Got another one! I shall see you later, big tooties!" I was confused as hell as he got up from his seat and left me alone. I looked and chugged the water right behind it. I needed to flush my system to the max. I took in the water and felt a rush of cold hit my body. My body wanted more. It craved more and more. I called over the waiter and asked for the tallest cup of water I could get. She nodded her head and came back to me moments later with an ice-cold drink of water. I took the straw that was in it and chugged it. It felt so good to get some cold back into my system. After, I finished damn near the entire cup of water. It was time to find Trace. I kept looking around but I couldn't find her. Where the hell did she go? As I kept looking, my vision was getting blurry and my stomach was turning to the worse thing ever. All that delicious food I ate was trying to get out and not from the back end, if you know what I mean. I quickly rushed through the crowd to get to the bathroom but my body was not helping me in the least. It was getting weaker and weaker. What the hell was happening to me? I got to the bathroom and stumbled into a stall. I fell to my knees and felt the food slowly approaching my mouth. The room was spinning. I couldn't keep my balance. This was the worst feeling because it felt like damn life was slowly stepping out of your body. I seriously cannot do this. Instantly, I felt the food come out of my stomach. I threw it all up in the toilet. It was gross. It felt like a hand just went down my throat and pulled all the food out of my stomach. I thought this wasn't supposed to happen. I am going to kill Trace. My brain finally remembered. I was supposed to be looking for Trace. Yeah, let's go find this girl so we can go the hell home. I tried to get up but felt my face going back to the toilet so I could once again have food forced out of my stomach by the invisible scooper. I sat back and looked up. My head was still spinning. This was seriously not the greatest feeling. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. This should actually calm myself down. I heard the door to the bathroom open. It was loud as hell despite the fact that the club was blasting music that could kill a person's ear drum. I listened to a bunch of snickering and laughing coming from the door. "You whooo. Are you in here, beauty?" "Maybe she passed out in the stall. Let's just get her and go on. I don't want to be here all damn day." I listened to the two male voices. My body was not listening to the point that movement was not going to happen. Who were they looking for? I heard their footsteps coming closer. They were forcefully opening the other stalls. They were going to find me here. Ugh, this was going to be a mess. Another story to add to my list. Queen Amelia, found extremely incapable of moving in a bathroom stall in one of the towns from where she is supposed to be leading back to the damn kingdom. This would be an interesting cover-up. "Hellllooooo. Red head. I saw you come in here!" He said, bashing another stall open. I know that voice. What the hell was he doing in here? I tried to get up but my entire body fell. My arm slipped into the toilet and now half my body was wet from that disgusting water! This is super gross. "Dude, she's in here. You didn't just hear the stumbling?" "Wow. She didn't get pretty far. I mean she was looking for her friend the last time I spoke to her." I got up and held onto the tissue dispenser for dear life. My legs were shaking like crazy and I felt my brain not trying to come up with ideas. I went to slide my hand on the lock to the stall but it flew open and I crash landed onto the toilet seat. I swear this is just messy. "Well, hello there! How are you feeling right now? Brain not working? Body betraying your every move?" My vision was blurry but I know I could see this man's features. Purple-ish kind of hair, with a light-skin toned complexion. I couldn't see the other guy he was talking to. Just the fact that he was wearing some brown boots. I think his pants were black. "Hey, hey!" The guy in front of me said as he slapped my cheek repeatedly. I went to swat his hand away but clearly missed by a mile shot. I tried to get up but he caught me in his arms. "Woah, woah. Don't need you getting lost now, do we? Here, sniff thiiiiissss and it will all be over before you know it." I could feel one of his arms slipping away from me. My guess it was because he was going into his pocket and grab something for me to sniff like he instructed me to. I tried to push him but nothing worked. My body was just not working with me at that moment. He pushed a substance into my nose and I sniffed a little bit and luckily pushed it away. I heard a glass breaking sound and weakly pushed the guy holding me again. He laughed at my feeble attempt and soon my vision went dark and I went down. Who knows how long I have been out? I was feeling the shaking of a vehicle rapidly moving on a bumpy ass road. Ugh, this was a pain in the ass. What the hell is going on right now? I looked up and my vision was restored. Thank God because if I had to go through that one more time, I was seriously going to kick myself in the morning. I looked around and felt my phone moving around in my strapless bra. I looked around and noticed I was in a pitch black vehicle. My body launched into the air and crashed landed back onto the ground as the vehicle drove over a big bump at a possible high speed. I took my phone out and looked at the time. It was now 5 in the morning. I am guessing it is still pitch black outside since the sun doesn't come up until 7 am. I had no signal. Not yet anyway. I need to get the hell out of here. I turned on my flashlight and looked around. It was spacious. I was in the back of a van. I looked towards the driver's seat but it was blocked off by something. I looked over and saw some tools. Who the hell leaves tools in the back of a van with a person in the back? I needed to be cautious because I still didn't know the situation I was in. I didn't hear any voices, so I can't tell how many people there were. I shook my head and crawled over to the bag. I rummaged through the bag as quickly as possible. I found a hammer, screw drivers, flat heads, anything that a maintenance person carries in his tool kit, it was in this damn bag. The van was slowing down. I picked up the screw driver and held it in my left hand and picked up the hammer. They would have to search the back of this van to see if I am alive... right? I laid back down, covering the tools with a bit of my hair and my body. The van stopped and I heard the doors opening and closing. It was quiet for a bit. They listened as the doors to the back of the van opened. A hand wrapped itself around my ankle and I felt my body being pulled towards the door. "You think she is still alive?" "She better be, or how the hell are we supposed to get paid for all this work we did?" So there are two people... I needed to wait for a second. "We get paid even if she is dead or alive. It is extra if she is alive because of who she is. That dude told us, remember? She flashed that damn bracelet of hers. Lucky he called us at the last minute to come off the job. Dude, what if that man paid for her? We could be swimming in money!" "Well, let's make sure she is alive first and then worry about that." They pulled on my leg again and I felt a hand on my neck. I opened my eyes and they both gasped at my reaction. I quickly sat up and stabbed the one on the left with the screwdriver in his side. I plunged it into him and listened to his screams. The other one went to grab my hand but I smashed his hand that was on my ankle with the hammer. He screamed and held his hand as he backed away from me. I scooted my body out of the van and went to the guy holding his hand and swung the hammer at him again. I hit him in the stomach and he leaned over clutching it. I whacked his back and fell to the ground. I took the hammer and took off running. Thankfully, I didn't have those damn heels on. Worse mistake to them. I took my phone out of my bra and ran around in a forest looking for a signal. I got towards the road and my signal came back. I dialed Maurice's number and started shaking rapidly. "H-Hello...." "Maurice! Maurice! We have a problem. Wake up right now and get Antonio!" "Wait... wait... wait. Calm down. What's-" "No, calm down! I got kidn*pped! I got kidn*pped and I am on a road! I don't where I am. Track me through this phone!" I took off running down the road. No cars were coming, nothing. It was too dark and I didn't even see a sign to tell me where the hell I was located. "Amelia! I am running to him now! Do you see anything that can tell me where you are?" "No! Nooooo! I just see a bunch of stupid trees and this stupid road I am on!" My body was in panic mode now. I couldn't keep my breath. My heartbeat was just everywhere at this moment. "We got your phone. Amelia, I got Antonio!" "Amelia, are you okay?! What the hell is going-" "No time for questions! Track me and help me!" "Okay, okay! I can do that. I have your phone." "Good! I'll stay on this road and ooof-" Instantly I was tackled to the ground. My phone slipped out of my grasp and now I felt my entire body just painfully hurting. It was like a damn boulder knocked me over. I coughed a bit and felt my body being dragged. I turned my body and tried to kick the assailant but they had a hold on both my ankles. I screamed for dear life and tried to sit up to put up a fight, but nothing worked. Next thing I saw were two bright headlights coming towards us. I gasped and started to kick my legs rapidly in order to get one of my legs free. "Maurice! There's a van! There's a van! This dude won't let me go! Brown hair, buff, can't see his eyes! They are too dark for me to see! Brown eyes then! Black leather gloves! Tank top and black pants! Help me!" The van approached and a dude popped out of it as if he were the one trying to escape. He had a cloth in his hand and my eyes widened as he came up behind me. "Another dude!" He put the cloth over my mouth and nose and I inhaled the most disgusting, strong chemical scent I could smell. Instantly, I tried to hold my breath but it didn't help. My body was losing energy, my vision went blurry and instantly, everything went black again.
