Wildon and Malachi had shown up after I dealt with the boy. Luckily, I arrived in time for Esther to let me in through the backdoor and I ushered her to the upstairs bathroom. The front door splintered and gave way after a few more hits and I glimpsed the boy making a show downstairs. He scrapped at the walls and the furniture in a heated frenzy before noticing my presence. “Go!” I pushed Esther the rest of the way and slammed the door shut. A few moments later, a growl sounded outside and the door rattled. Esther had her newborn wrapped in a blanket to her chest and stared at the door with frantic eyes. I wished I could console her but now was not the time. I had to focus. The wolf continued to pound away at the door with his fists which caused Sebastian to start screaming. It won’t hold
