Chapter 9

Beta Conner

I seriously hate being here and pretending to want to do what William has told us to do. I don't get why William and his dad, John, just can't leave the girl alone. I feel there is more than what they are letting on.

When I first entered, I saw only a few times a young girl who looked so small and starved her clothes hung off her, an orphan was better dressed. I honestly thought she was only 9 years old, but I found out she was 14! When I joined the pack, I came from The Blood Moon pack. It was fun today to see them beat Pinewoods pack today. My face turned red from holding in the laugh, to others it must have looked like I was embarrassed.

William thought I was snooping around for him, but I was looking for my mate. I could smell her. I never got a good look at the blonde and red head the first day as Ashley decided to do one of her tricks. If only I had come down the stairs quicker. I knew it was one of the two as my mate’s scent was so strong.

But I can’t lie it was fun to sit back on the stairs and watch Ashley get put in her place, it was very satisfying. Unfortunately, no one would dare to do that in our pack. She has been very quiet since. I wonder what William did to keep her quiet.

As for my mate, I realised it was the red head as the blonde went off in the break and I just couldn't stop staring at the red head. I just need to keep it low that I have found her and never let these two find out. We need to plan on what to do as I will be leaving Pinewoods, as I will never take her back to Pinewoods. The pack needs to be destroyed, I would never let my mate be abused, tormented or anything dangerous happen to her.

For years now, I have never felt right being in this pack, when I first arrived something felt off and I should have gone back to my pack. The only thing that kept me here was getting stronger for my mate and learning to be a Beta.

I have spoken with my father about this as something was not right. He told me to stay, he didn't want to believe me at first, but the more I reported to my dad, the more he believed me.

He used to be friends with them all, but it felt wrong to stay when he met his mate, my mum.

We were never close to the family to dad's brother, Uncle Jorden. Dad went to the Blood Moon pack to be with his mate instead of the other way around. I always wondered why. He would say it was so he could be Beta there as he is a Beta by blood, they took Beta Jorden on instead, but now living with them, I understand as I will be doing the same. Moving away with my mate.

He told me to keep an eye on what they were planning, especially John. He is known to always have something up his sleeve.

For years, I have been wanting out of this pack. It's great that I get to learn about being a Beta as my older brother is taking the title from dad when he steps down. But is it worth it to be in this pack?

The girl they called her, Charlotte, ran away for a reason she did it board daylight. Family they called her, but she didn't look like it. I wish I got to speak to her before she left.

The trials have stopped for a break. I see Will and Ashley get up and Will grabbing Ashley dashing away quickly. As long as she is not near me or causing a scene I couldn’t care less where they went.

Ashley and I had never seen eye to eye as she wanted to sleep with me, and I refused. I was only new to the pack, so they made her wind her neck in and leave me alone. I don't think she has ever gotten over the rejection.

I remember the first time I wanted out of the pack, and when dad started to believe me, one of our warriors from his pack came over to visit and met his mate. They were so happy!

Then enter Ashley. She has got to be the most jealous and malicious person I have ever met. Our warrior, Jason, was in the kitchen with me. We were just sitting and chatting over a few drinks. We had grown up together and were good friends.

Entering the kitchen, Ashley. We barely even acknowledged her arrival, wearing a short skirt and a crop top that looked two sizes too small.

She decided to try and drape herself over Jason, flirting. I think she said she was doing that.

She looked like a stripper with constipation.

Now Ashley knew Jason had found his mate. Jason jumped away from her, pushing her off him. We both started to ask what the f**k she thought she was doing.

She knew exactly what she was doing as Jason's mate, Amanda, walked in. As Jason looked at Amanda, Ashley jumped on Jason and kissed him pulling his face to her to kiss his lips.

Amanda ran out of the room crying. Ashley looked extremely happy with what she had done.

Jason and I ran after her. I made sure to call Ashley a b***h on the way out. I do not know if Ashley has ever found her mate or she is just too evil to have one.

We found Amanda in her room packing. We went in to explain and Amanda shut the door. She explained she was not mad at Jason. She heard it all and knows what Ashley is capable of. She said they needed to pack to get ready to leave. A storm will be brewing, and s**t will go down.

Amanda was right, they packed that night and the next morning, Ashley tried to accuse Jason of r****g her.

One thing Ashley forgot was I was there, and cameras were in the kitchen. Alpha John had them everywhere as he did not trust his pack. When I told the Alpha I was there and to watch the camera, Jason and Amanda were just banished from entering the pack, as well as her family. I managed to save a new mated couples lives that day, as John would beheaded Jason for the accusation not listening to both stories, thank f**k for those cameras!

I told Jason to take them to Blood Moon. I had already told my dad about everything that night when I left Amanda and Jason to pack and he was waiting for them. My old pack accepted her parents also. They are good people. Amanda's dad is a surgeon and her mum a nurse, so the Bloodmoon gained good people.

Ashley was furious, they weren't punished as she made a huge scene in front of everyone.

Later that week, a few mated couples up and left to go to other packs. They had 'new jobs' that were too far to travel. They worked in the human city for a while and now decided it was too far to travel. The members had put their requests in with the other pack, so John could not say no or questions would arise.

Everyone seems to walk on eggshells if they are not part of the clique.

I know when I meet my mate, I need to keep it quiet I will not have her and Ashley in the same room, or I may just kill Ashley.

During the break I quickly popped down to see some of my old pack and was surprised to see Jason and Amanda there, she looked as if she was ready to drop, she was far in to her pregnancy. It was great to see them so happy and they are thriving, Jason has also moved up ranks, it was well deserved.

Making my way back to the seating area, I made some small talk with the others there.

Ashley and William rushed back in to their seats catching their breath, seems they have had fun. Before I could comment the trials started up again.

I see my mate get up going against one of the female warriors who was a lot taller then her.

Sitting up a little straighter in-case she looked over, I watched her cheering her on inside my head, trying not to look at her sweet arse wiggling. I will be a gentleman for my mate.
