The early morning sun beamed at Damian as he welcomed the new day with a grateful heart. That despite living a simple life, they were able to survive on a daily basis, having food on the table and living peacefully. At least that was what he thought until a discovery turned his world upside down.
He was checking on some of his gardening tools and noticed that his sharpest bolo was missing. He planned to cut some bamboo clusters in their backyard to use them in replacing some of the rotten fences infested by termites.
He rummaged through his toolbox but didn’t find it there. Unused packs of long and short nails sat in the box's corner. Beside it was his hammer and wrench; pliers, a long nose, and various measuring tools were in there, too, but not his favorite bolo.
