Lydia's expression remained calm and focused despite the sweat covering her forehead as she knelt beside the injured man. The steel bar had pierced straight through his abdomen, making it impossible to remove on the spot.
She could only press against the surrounding pressure points to slow the bleeding while quickly examining his other wounds. At the same time, she directed nearby bystanders to find bolt cutters and break apart the exposed section of the steel rod so paramedics could move him into the ambulance more easily once it arrived.
After several tense minutes of emergency treatment, the man's breathing finally began to stabilize. By the time the ambulance arrived, even the paramedics looked visibly relieved.
