Chapter 13The car tires scraped against the snow-coated driveway then halted as Mom put the car in Park. We exited the car and slammed the doors shut. We were then greeted by shouts. Our attention drifted across the street to our neighbor, Mrs. Lars, who happened to be backing toward a clump of trees on the side of her property.
