Chapter 18Stefan and I sat in the back of the limo with Raquel, Katherine, and Taylor across from us. Stefan, Taylor, and I sported formal tuxedos while Raquel, and Katherine in her wig, looked stunning in evening dresses, fur coats, and designer heels.
Stefan was the only one wearing a half mask, while Taylor, Raquel, Katherine, and I had full masks on.
“The ball should be fun,” I said, tapping my feet.
Stefan leaned in and murmured into my ear. “Something wrong?”
A swirling sensation jabbed at my stomach. Admitting I had drugged my parents and needed Stefan’s help to do it, didn’t exactly make me feel any better. He now saw a dark side of me since I was okay with messing with my parents. Stefan was understanding when I explained to him that Katherine needed a night out.
