Chapter 9“You look handsome,” Katherine said several afternoons later while we stood in the basement.
It was the weekend, which meant I wasn’t worried about school and could do whatever I wanted. Luckily for me, though, that included hanging out with Stefan. He sent me an invitation to have a picnic. Although his methods were unconventional since the piece of paper appeared out of nowhere in my bedroom last night as opposed to sending a letter through the mail. The paper had then disappeared as soon as I responded yes.
I wouldn’t even apologize for the extra strut in my step today. The minutes leading up to my date with Stefan was one of the few times when having a soaring pulse was okay. I had something positive to focus on.
