Chapter 40After opening my locker the following morning, a cloud of pink mist soon appeared on my top shelf. A folded piece of paper was left in its place after the mist disappeared. I quickly glanced around before turning my attention to the note so I could read its contents: Dear Maximillian, Sorry for being MIA lately. The prisoners from the detention camp in Gangoria were safely transported to a new location, but we and the rest of the Resistance have been lying low, so we won’t draw too much attention. Will be in touch when we can. All the best, Hilda and Hank. I huffed and crumpled the note and placed it on my locker shelf. Even the calmest person would have been annoyed with Hank and Hilda. The memory of Sirch mentioning the detention camp in Gangoria remained etched in my mind.
