Chapter 42Stefan and I sat in my bed reading the morning after my conversation with Anastasia. The covers were pulled over us to help ward off the damp chill in the air.
“I have to talk to you, Stefan.” I put my book aside.
Stefan glanced at me after resting his book over his lap and settling in to listen to me. “Is everything okay?”
Telling Stefan about Olaf wasn’t going to be easy, but being honest with him would save embarrassment later on. I recognized keeping things secret was sometimes necessary when it came to friends, family, and dating. But it wasn’t true in this instance since it would only take Stefan and I bumping into Olaf while running an errand in town to find out the truth about my past with Olaf. Or worse. Olaf might somehow spin the situation to his advantage.
